From WENDY SIDLEY, The President of the Malibu High PTSA Dear Parents, Teachers and Students, I hope this finds you settling nicely into the new school year. The first few weeks of school have gone very smoothly, and it was so great to meet the teachers at Back to School Night. The PTSA is busy gearing up for our only fundraiser of the year, The Seaside Tennis Classic. For 27 years we have had this event on a Thursday, but this year we are changing it up. We want to include as many people as we can, so on Sunday, November 7th we will be hosting our 28th Annual PTSA Fall Fundraiser: “It’s 5‘Oclock Somewhere!”. Don’ let the tennis component scare you away. We welcome you to skip the tennis and join us for cocktails, appetizers by The Godmother of Malibu, and a silent and live auction at the Malibu Racquet Club. But if you do play, please join us for a fun afternoon of tennis. You can arrange a court with 8 friends, or find a partner and we will put you on a court with players of a similar level. We typically have a boutique at this event, but this year we will be having the boutique on Friday, November 5th in the Old Gym at Malibu High. If you would like to make a donation to the auction, or help in anyway, please join us as we meet on Thursdays at 8:15am in the MHS library, or contact Sandy Thacker at thackerca@aol.com. Look for the invitation, which will arrive via email, in the coming week or look at our website for more information www.malibuhigh.org I would also like to invite you to our next PTSA Association Meeting. On October 28th at 3:15pm we will have our annual meeting with the teachers and staff. It is a great opportunity to interact with some of the teachers and staff at Malibu High. Put it in your calendar now! Get involved at Malibu High.
