Mats Jonasson Tidigt uppmärksammades Mats Jonassons tecknartalang och han började arbeta som gravörlärling vid glasbruket redan 1959. Under följande decennier arbetade han med flera av samtidens stora glaskonstnärer. Han utvecklade samtidigt den naturnära stil som han sedan dess förfinat till fulländning. “Våra skogar har sedan urminnes tider påverkat folksjälen”, säger Mats Jonasson. Inspirerad av denna natur har han med öppna sinnen skapat sina särpräglade objekt i kristall. Idag är glasbrukets son representerad över hela världen. Mats Jonasson’s talent as a designer attracted attention early on, when he started work as an apprentice engraver at the glassworks in 1959. Over the next few decades he worked with many of the most respected contemporary glass artists in Sweden. During this period, he developed that natural style of his which he’s since perfected. Our forests have captured the hearts and minds of people since time immemorial, says Mats. Inspired by the natural world around him, he has opened his mind to create his distinctive masterpieces in the finest Swedish crystal. Nowadays, this son of the glassworks is represented all over the world.
Ludvig Löfgren Ludvig Löfgren har en lång gedigen utbildning och erfarenhet inom både konst och glashantverk. Han har bland annat en examen från Hovedskou Fine Painting School och Konstfack i Stockholm. Sin hantverksutbildning har han bland annat fått på glasskolorna i Kosta och Orrefors. Genom sitt unika formspråk tar han det traditionella svenska glaset in i framtiden. Ludvig Löfgren är sedan augusti 2013 knuten till Målerås Glasbruk. ”Hantverket i alla delar är mitt språk. Det genomsyrar allt jag gör,” säger Ludvig Löfgren. Ludvig Löfgren has a long and solid education and experience of both art and glass handicraft. He has among other things a degree from Hovedskou’s Fine Painting School and the College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. He has obtained his handicraft education at the Glass Schools in Kosta and Orrefors. With his unique design he takes the traditional Swedish glass into the future. Since August 2013 Ludvig Löfgren is one of Målerås Glassworks’ five designers. “The handicraft is, in all its parts, the way I express myself. It is visible in all I create,” says Ludvig Löfgren. 6
