This unusual site-specific installation, “Narcissus Garden,” by Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama, is on view at an abandoned former military building in Fort Tilden. Comprised of 1,500 mirrored stainless steel spheres, the installation reflects both the industrial space and the surrounding natural beachfront, which remains vulnerable after storm damage and susceptible to future ecological degradation. This exhibit collectively presented by MoMA, Rockaway Artist Alliance, Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy, National Park Service and Bloomberg Philanthropies — will blow you away!
