How could he tell? A Yale Street resident reported a motor vehicle with two occupants who appeared to be hunched over smoking, and the resident believed that they were not from the neighborhood. A dispatched officer responded and discovered – one of the people was from the neighborhood.

Just how loud do you have to be? The desk clerk at the Holiday Inn on Newbury Street reported a white male was causing a disturbance in front of the hotel. According to the report, the man was having a loud conversation on his cellphone and was asked to keep it down. The responding officer advised the man to keep quiet or he would be asked to leave the hotel – permanently.
Some things are best kept out of sight Police responded to a Lowell Street address due to a report that a statue of a lawn jockey was stolen from a resident’s front lawn. The report described the statue as red, white and black. The owner stated that the lawn ornament was 30 years old. Maybe it should have been stored somewhere where no one could see it.
Maybe a “No Swimming & Crashing the Gate” sign would help A caller reported that a vehicle drove down the bike path off Spring Pond Road and is parked near the pumping station. According to the report, several people were witnessed swimming near the car. A dispatched officer reported that he couldn’t locate the vehicle but noted damage to the gate which was caused by a motor vehicle.

Rober t J. Adamczewski, 44, of 55 Holten St., Peabody, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor and with negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
FRIDAY, MAY 25 Richard M. Madruga, 65, of 103 Central St., Peabody, was charged with attempted murder, with two counts of suffocation or strangulation, with two counts of assault & battery on family/household member and with threatening to commit a crime.
