o fim de 2013, nossas pesquisas conjunturais mostraram que o País estava prestes a passar por uma crise histórica – e o resultado negativo do setor de eletroeletrônicos foi um dos primeiros a sinalizar o que estaria por vir. Desta vez, a situação é inversa.
t the end of 2013, our conjuncture researches showed that Brazil was about to go through a historical crisis - and the negative result of the electronics sector was one of the first to indicate what was to come. This time, the situation is the other way around.
Nossa mais recente Pesquisa Conjuntural do Comércio Varejista (PCCV) revelou que, até outubro de 2019, o faturamento do segmento no Estado de São Paulo atingiu mais de R$ 44 bilhões, quase 5% de crescimento em relação a 2018. O emprego formal também voltou a crescer, e o setor de eletrônicos gerou em torno de 28 mil vagas com carteira assinada no Brasil entre 2017 e 2019.
Our most recent Conjunctural Survey of Retail (PCCV) revealed that, until October 2019, the segment’s turnover in the State of São Paulo reached more than R$ 44 billion, almost a 5% growth compared to 2018. Formal employment also grew again, and the electronics sector generated around 28,000 new jobs with signed contract in Brazil between 2017 and 2019.
As previsões, felizmente, continuam otimistas. O governo vem colaborando para o estímulo ao consumo, seja por meio do Banco Central – que definiu a menor taxa de juros da história –, seja pela liberação anual dos recursos de FGTS, PIS e Pasep até R$ 1 mil. Para 2020, a expectativa é de crescimento ainda maior (na casa dos 6%), graças à melhora do mercado de trabalho, à maior disponibilidade do crédito e à queda nos preços dos produtos eletrônicos, como apontou o IPCA para esses bens em 2019 (menos 1,05%).
The predictions, fortunately, remain optimistic. The government has been collaborating to stimulate consumption, either through the Central Bank - which defined the lowest interest rate in history - or through the annual release of FGTS (severance pay indemnity fund), PIS and Pasep (profit participation program and civil servants’ investment program contributions) funds up to R$ 1,000. For 2020, growth is expected to be even higher (around 6%), thanks to the improvement in the labor market, greater availability of credit and the decrease in prices of electronic products, as the IPCA (Broad Consumer Price Index) pointed out for these goods in 2019 (-1.05%).
Juntos, esses fatores beneficiam a retomada do crédito e as condições para que as famílias renegociem débitos em atraso, além de dar o fôlego necessário para que voltem a consumir sem comprometer a saúde do orçamento. Fator que vem agregar ao cenário favorável para o setor de eletroeletrônicos é o Cadastro Positivo, já que o mercado de crédito exerce forte influência sobre as vendas desse segmento. O acesso de lojistas e dos bancos ao score do consumidor trará ainda mais facilidades nas formas de pagamento.
Together, these factors benefit the recovery of credit and the conditions for families to renegotiate outstanding debts, in addition to giving the necessary breath to consume again without compromising the budget’s health. Factor that adds to the favorable scenario for the electronics sector is the Cadastro Positivo (Positive Register), since the credit market has a strong influence on sales in this segment. The access of retailers and banks to the consumer’s score will bring even more convenience in payment methods.
