Jesus came to restore it. He comes, as the Wesley hymn says, to make the blessing flow as far as the curse is found. The very areas of your life in which you have lost the most are he areas he wants to make the realm of greatest restoration and rich provision.
Take stock of your losses. Go ahead, be brutally honest. What has been taken from you? Now repent of any sin connected to those very areas. And ask God to restore you, gloriously, from his very presence. This is the promise of the gospel and the delight of your heavenly Father. Under biblical law, restoration was a legal concept that required someone who had stolen to restore many times more than what he had taken. This is the concept of restoration that God says results from the repentance of New Testament believers. Restoration in the original Greek means, in part, "to relax" the idea is that one can relax because nothing is permanently lost, because what is lost is returned, because there will always be enough provision.
