ORIGINS
Pre-Colombian jewellers crafted beautiful gold pieces, with geometrical and animal shapes which they decorated with aesthetic, harmonious and patterned designs. Today, my Origins collection is my contemporary interpretation of these ancestral influences. The simple geometrical shapes are fused with the strong and unique forms of insects, here inspired by the textures and leg shapes of tropical beetles. These are used to create harmonious ring bands and three dimensional curved, triangular, and cuboid figures, decorated with 18ct gold symbols and colourful gemstones. The Origins collection is made with 18ct yellow ecogold, silver, and your choice of precious and semiprecious gemstones.

SPICE OF LIFE
Spice of Life takes inspiration from the everyday wonders that bring meaning to our lives. Some we are conscious of and appreciate. But many more may be lying there, just outside our vision, waiting patiently for us to discover them.
Scattered on my table, I recently came across simple, attractive shapes, covered with unique and complex natural textures. A perfect combination to inspire us every day. Every Spice of Life piece includes peppercorns handmade using sterling silver, gold, or gold and silver fused together.

About MAGNOLIA RESTREPO HOLA. I am a Colombian Jeweller, now based in beautiful Yorkshire. Having grown up surrounded by verdant tropical mountains, nature and people who work closely with nature have been my inspiration for as long as I can remember. Learning first from my eldest brother I started working with silver at the age of fifteen and have developed my jewellery art and craft ever since. I delight in giving life to each piece by fusing and transforming metals, often uniting them with precious and semi-precious stones.
