CIRCOLO GOLF VILLA D’ESTE THE MONCLER TROPHY - AMICI DI COMO & MAGIC LAKE From the balcony of the Club House you have a great view of the golf course of the Golf Club Villa d'Este, behind the peaks of the trees, you can also see Lake Montorfano. The golf balls fly in the sky during a summer day, even though it is a bit grey. The morning persons are already on the green, other players came later, some others are in a rush just before the beginnig of the competition, some players are relaxed and talk with friends. A day that represents a fundamental apointment for 140 golfers who took part to the 7th Moncler Trophy - Amici di Como and Magic Lake, on 21st June 2014, in the beautiful setting of one of the most famous green. The winners: 1st category, Alice Gatti (1st net), Alessandro Previero (1st gross), Andrea Bologna (2nd net); 2nd category, Andrea Mantegazza (1st net) Ilvo Tolu (2nd net); 3rd category, Miriam Schiavoni (1st net) Fiorenza Mariani (2nd net); 1st Ladies, Susanna Leoni; 1s Seniors, Andrea Tieghi. to meet the new president, Walter Ragazzi, enterpreneur with two passions: golf and speedboat racing. In the '90ies he stop competing in speedboat racing, before that he won everything, from the Italian Championship to the World Champion Offshore. Was speedboat racing your first love? «I competed for 15 years, I had a great time, but now it is part of the past. Today my passion is golf». With Walter Ragazzi it was also elected the new Board of Directors: Franco Mieli, Claudio Moro, Stefania Ponti, Elisabetta Majocchi, Giovanni Cavadini and Antonio Munafò. Do you think that your enterpreneurial abilities also helped you in the Golf Club Villa d'Este? «Today golf has to be seen as a company, both from the enterpreneurial and sports point of view. Our goal is to handle it sharing commitments and tasks».
