After switching from trains to walls the graffiti artists even had more inspiration. The walls became the place for real artworks. Artists painted one over the other and the walls had many layers. The 1980s were very rich in talents and creativity. Some of the walls, like the “Crush City� wall, became very famous because of their importance. This wall symbolizes the graffiti movement and the city of New York. It remained untouched for quite a long time compared to other walls that would be covered with new graffiti overnight.
