JPS Roofing are masters in membrane roofing for commercial projects of all sizes and high end architectural homes. The company is the preferred roofing contractor for John Creighton Builders and Metzger Builders Ltd (MBL), which have received gold awards in the House of the Year awards.
About 60 percent of JPS Roofing’s work is commercial, from small buildings right up to the new Christchurch Airport terminal. “We do anything to do with flat roofing and I’ve been doing that work all my life,” Jason says. “If it’s a flat roof; I’m your man.”

Jason and his wife, Pip, JPS Roofing’s business manager, prefer to keep their business small in order tomaintain tight control over quality.

“I’m always looking for new staff but I’m very selective with who I employ and what I do,” he says.

Jason works actively on the company’s projects every day and has no plans to retire his toolkit and stay in the office. “I’m still on the tools and I love it. I’m very good at what I do and my finish is award winning,” he says.

Apart from the project’s sizes, a challenging aspect will be the tight timeframes required to replace sections of the roof in the heritage building, once the old roof has been removed.
