El Festivalito vuelve a desafiar a directores, actores y técnicos de todo el mundo a escribir, rodar, editar y estrenar un corto o un largometraje en una sola semana sin salir de la isla de La Palma. Pero esta vez, en su novena edición, la convocatoria está abierta a cualquier persona y también, por primera vez, habrá un premio de 1.200 euros al mejor corto. ¿Su intención? Promover el «cine digital artesanal», el «cine exprés», el «cine de guerrilla», el «jazz cinema» o el «cine desde las entrañas».

El Festivalito returns with its annual contest that challenges actors, directors and film crew from around the world to write, shoot, edit and release shorts and full length movies in one week without leaving the island of La Palma. For the first time in its 9 year history, the festival has opened entries to the public and created a cash prize of 1.200euros for the best short film.

Un edificio que respira
En Europa, los edificios producen el 40% de las emisones de CO2 y son el primer causante del cambio climático. Pero ha llegado el momento de actuar. Construir el recien inaugurado Media-TIC en Barcelona ha sido la aportación del arquitecto Enric Ruiz-Geli a mejorar la eficiencia energética de los inmuebles. La orientación de las fachadas atienden a funciones específicas. Su piel de EFTE -un material entre vídrio y plástico- permite ahorrar un 20% de energía. La estructura es un esqueleto métalico, con elementos verticales casi exclusivamente en el exterior, que dejan espacios diáfanos. El edificio absorbe luz del día y la desprende de noche, convirtiéndose en una luminiscente medusa. El Media-Tic ha sido concebido como una incubadora para albergar actividades de investigación y creación de empresas tecnológicas.

The recently inaugurated Media-TIC in Barcelona is Architect Enric Ruiz-Geli’s contribution to improving energy efficiency in construction. The orientation of the building has specific functions. Its ‘skin’ is made up of EFTE, a mixture between glass and plastic that allows the structure to be 20% more energy efficient. The structure resembles a metallic skeleton, with vertical elements almost exclusively in the exterior that leave open spaces. The building absorbs light during the day and releases light during the night turning into a luminous jelly fish. The Media-Tic has been conceived as an incubator for research and creation of technology companies.

En este país aún no hay una base jurídica que regule ni reconozca siquiera su actividad y por eso están obligados a trabajar de cerca con la policía. Lo económico ha llegado antes que lo legal. Según una información de Morroco Newsline, las tarifas por investigación varían entre una media de 455euros y 640euros. The profession is growing, driven by increased social openness that has led to more divorces, infidelities and fraud. Women are the biggest customers. Many of them seek to accelerate their divorces by collecting evidence. Most of the detectives are members of the police or the army that have received training abroad. As it stands, there is no legal framework in place to regulate this activity which forces the detectives to work closely with the police.
