Role: Project Lead
As the project lead my role was to strategize the project from inception to construction.

In our investigation, we put most important to our youngest inhabitants. Thus, the small patch of brown field of the quarter has been offered to them to play and to enjoy their lost childhood in this dilapidated city called dhaka. We do not believe in walls and thoughtless fences. So, we as designers of the project, took the liberty to take out the hard walls around the play ground and replaced them with low fences and comfortable place to sit and enjoy the games, the misused community hall has been offered as newly founded community space.

It is also being thought of as a multi purpose hall. So, the space can be used as per user’s choices and desires. Part of the community hall has been given to the community to use it as a neighborhood gymnasium. Right above it, we have offered a unique structure, which will be used as a small library for the young minds of the neighborhood. To stretch their imaginations, the roof of the community hall has been designed as butterfly garden,

The beautiful water body, which gets used by the thousands of residences from all three areas around Maniknagar, can be even more enjoyable if we could make the experience in a more holistic ways. The Ecology of the water body is devoid of natural elements. Our intentions to introduce the water body with full biodiversity that it deserves then what it inhabits at the moment. The sounds of birds, frogs, and what not should be there. So that, our young generation can be in touch with greater nature that they are a part of.

The construction was completed and has been open for public since 2019. Although it is now managed by the city corporation the local residents take care of the premise like it is their own home.

Creating resilient industries: Rejuvenation over massive new development

Bright wash Ltd was renovated from the existing production shed mill-02. The client required a functional and compliant production shed. Instead of demolishing the existing structure to accommodate this need, we opted for scrutinizing the structural failure and addressing the load distribution in order to work with the existing structure as much as possible. The resulting structure is a compact, lightweight production unit constructed with minimum cost and time.
