Guest Conductor Kenneth Woods and Violinist Blake Pouliot both make their Madison Symphony debut in a program featuring Haydn, Strauss, and Mendelssohn’s beloved Violin Concerto. 4

Dvořák Requiem

Composed at the peak of Dvořák’s career, the Requiem is a profound expression of his genius. The Madison Symphony Chorus under the direction of Beverly Taylor, and four incredible guest soloists, join the MSO on stage for this performance of epic proportions. 5

Piano Power

Russian-Israeli powerhouse Yefim Bronfman returns to perform Brahms’s first piano concerto. But the concert offers even more delights beginning with Weber’s classic Overture from Euryanthe, and followed by Stravinsky’s great ballet score Petrushka, a story of a Russian puppet come to life. 6

Greg Zelek with Diaspason Brass and Tiampani Principal Organist Greg Zelek closes the 2019–2020 Overture Concert Organ season in an exciting performance featuring six members of the Madison Symphony Orchestra. 7
