In contrast to conventional halogen or xenon, LED bulbs run cold whilst providing a truer more even colour illlumination over the area under examination, and most amazingly are practically guaranteed never to fail.

e-scope® Integrated Power Converter world first technology •2 cm2 of sheer innovation AA batteries deliver a maximum 3V. However, if you can boost this up to a 3.7 V voltage a considerably more efficient LED bulb can be used. With the Integrated Power Converter (IPC), Riester has succeeded in producing a development that revolutionises illumination of pocket instruments. The tiny IPC inside the e-scope® converts the conventional AA-size battery 3 V voltage into the optimum voltage supply of 3.7V needed for LEDs. As a result, the IPC not only allows optimum light quality, but also provides economic and ecological benefits. LEDs have a service life up to 1,000 times longer than xenon illumination and the batteries used in the e-scope® are discharged considerably more thoroughly thanks to the IPC; consequently they do not need to be disposed of and replaced as often, benefiting not only your wallet but the environment as well.
