A book that became a film Hans Christian Andersen was born in 1805 and died in 1875. He was Danish. He wrote many stories for children. One of his stories was The Snow Queen. It was a fairy tale and it appeared in many collections of illustrated books for children. It told about a fight between good and evil. The story inspired different artists: San Jose Repertory Theatre produced a new musical adaptation called The Snow Queen: A New Musical. They received positive reviews.
Josef Weinberger produced the musical play The Snow Queen in two acts.
