ome musicians are born with a natural singing talent, and others run with a passion for music. This month we are featuring a young man who has been passionate about music since he was ten.

Hasaan Mikail King was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in the early 1990s. His family relocated to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in the mid-90s. After his parent’s separation, he moved to Minnesota with his mother until 2003, when the thenteenager decided to live with his father in Baltimore, Maryland, where he attended and graduated high school.

During his high school days while living in the suburbs of Baltimore, King discovers a passion for creating musical beats. He spent countless hours learning the keyboard and experimenting with various sounds. After his high school graduation, King returned to Minnesota to be with his mother. While back in Minnesota, he attended the Institute for Production and Recording (IPR), for two years to pursue a degree in music production. Due to financial difficulties, he was forced to drop out before graduation.

King later acquires a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for truck driving. Although he earned a living as a truck driver, King always continued his music passion. He continues pursuing music as a hobby and hopes to get his big break someday.
