Known as the 'Pioneer of Bass guitarists,' Jamerson played on more songs and hit recordings than anyone in history. Starting in the late 50's with Motown founder Berry Gordy, Jamerson was launched into a catacomb of recording sessions playing on songs such as "Stop In The Name Of Love", "My Girl", " Heat Wave", "Sugar of Pie Honey Bunch", "Baby Love", "Dancing In The Street", and thousands of other Motown related hits. James Jamerson embarked on a long career of studio session that would play out until his death August 2, 1983. Jamerson was Motown's only bass player until 1967, playing on every Motown hit song by every hit artist. Even after Motown moved to California and started using other bass guitarists, Jamerson maintained a devotion to the company for most of his professional life. This bobble head is the first : - FUNK BROTHER based product to be featured on a Bobble head format. - The first Motown MUSICIAN and or artist to get featured commercially on a Bobble head doll. - The first official James Jamerson trademarked product.

This Jamerson bobble head is warehoused directly from the estate of James Jamerson, and comes with a tag of authenticity from Annie Jamerson the widow of James Jamerson. Of this first run series, only 250 were produced, making this product one of the rarest of its kind ever.
