She emphasized on WDC programme’s cities. Preliminary steps developed to align the WDC selection procedure of the cities with the UN SDGS. This includes creation of questions in WDC application form that have been developed based on UN SDGs and in-particular SDG 11.

She believes on conveying adequate messages and creating awareness through fundamental criterions which should highlight and promote the initiative of SDG 11 for city development strategies.

She highlights that WDC programme’s flexibility and the vision of its objectives align with SDG 11 implentation idea. The programme is considerably flexible in integrating new design strategies and ideas that can benefit WDO.

He believes in raising the importance of the aspect of design. The progamme has the ability to accentuate the importance of design but potential redesigning of the programme is required to create strong connection between design and SDGs.
