Program / Services The winery blurs the boundary between the natural and the synthetic by extending the terrain of the vineyard onto the landscape of the roof. Visitors follow a continuous path that depicts the winemaking process: growth, harvest, collection, fermentation, storage, and of course tasting. Through this procession a narrative of winemaking becomes a spatial and temporal experience.

In order to cultivate recovery for the homeless, the design defines three distinct stages that relate to the recovery process: Reflection, Comradery, and Integration. Each stage employs a unique unit type that guides social scale and augments recovery.

Comprehensive Inhabitation The context of the site is an entertainment district. In order to create a strong bond to the community the residence houses people with musical interest. In addition, the public program is a music retail space. Throughout the design inhabitable vertical structure provides private space, while the interstitial space between these cores is used as shared space.

Detailed Wall Section The comprehensive design of the Music Collab extends from the macro to the micro scale. In this manner, the detailed wall section illustrates the construction and materiality of the building. The key assemblies are investigated in larger details. These drawings show the integration of structure, enclosure, services, and environmental sensitivity.

Menefee Cabin -- Masonry Rigorous examination of construction documents provides the information to construct these axonometric drawings. To construct the axonometric, a section and plan are drawn while the remaining information is added by diligent drawing. This provides a thorough understanding of building tectonics.

Pierce County Building Steel + Concrete To construct the axonometric, a section and plan are drawn from construction documents while the remaining information is added by diliegent drawing. This provides a thorough understanding of building tectonics. The building features a raised flooring system and hybridized steel + concrete construction.

Monolithic Construction The design features both an expanding space, and a narrowing space. The two spaces are a conterpoint to each other; one is an intimate space for individual learning, the other is a gandiose space for collective learning. The duality of the Rock/ Paper / Scissors study is preserved in the Monolith.

Facade Design Tectonic development of a track system provides the apparatus for a mutable facade. Opaque and transparent clips are attached to the track to allow for shading baffles, operable windows for ventilation, and shelving/storage. The facade is explored through precise and exhaustive modeling.
