INTERNATIONAL PLATFORM FOR FEED TO FOOD FOR ASIA "VIV ASIA 2017" OPENING TO EMINENCE TARGETING MORE THAN 40,000 VISITORS WORLDWIDE

Official Opening VIV Asia 2017 VIV Asia 2017 -- the top-tier international livestock trade show, the largest of its kind in Asia -- has already begun. Organized by the world-renowned professionals in international business negotiations VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. and VNU Exhibitions Europe, this year marks the thirteen occasion upon which VIV Asia takes place under the concept "From Feed to Food". VIV Asia 2017 is held from March 15 through March 17, 2017 at BITEC, Bangna (Bangkok, Thailand). This year witnesses a plethora of technological advancements and developments being showcased by more than 1,057 companies from 55 countries worldwide including China, the United States (of America), the Netherlands, France, Thailand, etc. The event is fully filled, namely from Hall 98 to Hall 104, all of which occupy more than 40,000 squaremeters of space; in addition, at this event a large number of academic conferences and meetings are being held such as the seminar on health and pet nutrition, the seminar on dairy product business, the seminar on how to increase swine productivity, and the seminar on aquaculture. VIV Asia 2017 thus signifies a beau ideal of world-renowned trade show for animal husbandry. It is expected that this year's event will generate more than Baht 15bn (15,000,000,000)

worth of commercial transactions during the course of three days. VIV Asia 2017 will be held continually from March 15 through March 17, 2017, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The opening ceremony of the aforementioned event has also received the honor from Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives Mr.Thanit Anekwit, who is kind enough to have presided over the ceremony therein; President of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) Mr.Nopparat Maythaveekulchai,; ambassadors and/or diplomats from several nations, as well as event sponsors and supporters from governmental and private sectors. In addition, during the event, the "Asian Personality Awards", which signifies the cooperation among VIV worldwide manager Mr.Ruwan Berculo, VIV Asia Project Manager Mrs.Panadda Atthakowit, as well as Mr. Nigel Horrox, Managing Director of Positive Action Publications, is also presented to the beautiful minds that devote themselves to livestock industry in Asia. Another highlight of the event exemplifies His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's Royal activity and patronage apropos of animal husbandry industry, i.e. "The Royal Chitralada Projects", of which the organizers of VIV Asia 2017 truly have

In this regard, the focus is made upon the following: the Nil Fish Husbandry project being undertaken in C h i t r a l a d a Vi l l a , a p r o p o s o f t h e development of breeds in light of an attempt to enhance Thai agriculturists and farmers' productivity; Suan Chitralada Dairy Farm project, which is the inception of knowledge that will bring forth the sustainable occupational development; as well as Suan Chitralada Agricultural project (for Thai agriculturists and farmers), which makes presentations of experimentations on exemplary rice fields and rice mills. Furthermore, the special pavilion established hereby in honor of His Majesty has also garnered outstanding reception from the group of ceremony opening dignitaries, as well as Thai and foreign visitors. 8

Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives Mr.Thanit Anekwit has revealed that "Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives has a vision so as to make development of traditional methods of agriculture into modern-day agricultural models, the latter of which is focused upon administration and management, and the distribution of wealth and income to all regions in Thailand, with an aim so as to enable the country to step into the so-called "Thailand 4.0" in accordance with the policy of Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, whereby year 2017 (this year) is designated to mark the occasion upon which (Thailand's) agricultural standards will be elevated and remain in continually sustainable development. In addition, not only will the activities focus upon domestic consumption but also upon exportation and market competition upon global stage, in order to promote Thailand to truly become a hub of animal husbandry product exportation to the global market, and with an aim to move the country forward by making conversion from the common industrial sector into

propulsion of technology and innovation in regard to animal husbandry industry. Therefore, there are a number of companies carefully selected to provide showcases of their technologies and innovations in VIV Asia 2017.". Mr.Nopparat Maythaveekulchai, President of Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), has said that "TCEB, among others, interminably continues providing support to VIV Asia, including VIV Asia 2017. VIV Asia is well celebrated as the trade exhibition and an event of seminars on agriculture and animal husbandry, whether it be in terms of superior quality of trade exhibitors, modern technology, presentation of innovations, new researches and developments, not to mention a variety of special booths and international pavilions, as well as a high level of professionalism of the organizers and alliance. In regard to VIV Asia 2017, this year witnesses TCEB's focus being made upon international marketing promotion activities and the market campaign titled "CONNECT Businesses", the latter of which is intended so as to draw

potential buyers across the globe into the crucible of this event (VIV Asia 2017) with an aim herein to pair them up for business negotiations being carried out during the event. There is also another marketing (promotional) campaign called "EXHIBIZ IN MARKET", the target group of which is the 'pavilion leader' (group), and the purpose of which is to increase the exhibition space and generate a higher number of superiorquality trade exhibitors participating in the event.". In addition to VIV ASIA, which is the event that provides solutions to problems regarding livestock industry, "VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific" also organizes AGRITECHNICA ASIA 2017, which is the trade show of technology of agricultural machinery and equipment, and Horti ASIA 2017, the international trade show for smart horticultural and floricultural technology, at EH 105-106, with an aim to enable Thailand to become an ideal hub of trade and commerce in agriculture and animal husbandry. "VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific & VNU Exhibitions Europe" Estimates a Monumental Breakthrough in Business Negotiations Turnover during VIV Asia 2017: The Historical Target of Baht 15bn (15,000,000,000) Bangkok VIV Asia 2017 -- the top-tier agricultural technology and animal husbandry trade show, the largest of its kind in Asia -- has come to a close. Furthermore, during this year's event, a brand-new online platform titled 'VIV Online' has been launched as well, in response to the global technology landscape and virtual world. With a series of technological advancements being applied to its business models and the organizing of this event, VIV Asia provides a testament to the notion that VIV Asia will keep on moving after these three days.
