But the last duckling to emerge is scruffy and clumsy — nothing like his fluffy yellow siblings who tease him for being ‘different’… Join one ugly duckling’s adventure as he sets off on an epic journey (including ice skating on a very thin frozen lake and narrowly escaping an old lady’s cooking pot) to find

Created by Lyngo Theatre Following adventures with Egg and Spoon and Circus Minimus, acclaimed children’s company Lyngo tackle the whole universe this Easter — but they need your help to do it!

Created by Gomito Productions Join Gomito following their sell-out show Little Red Things as they take you on an adventure with Jacob, a boy who dreams of flying. He has just one night to save a distant world from darkness. Jacob’s quest starts in his back garden and ends light years away on a planet full of magical creatures.

Before anything new is made, it must first be dreamed. Hop on the sleeper train and dance with the stars as your dreams help them to make a show that is out of this world. Lyngo’s trademark mix of imagination and the everyday combine to create a brand new show for little ones.

The Steadfast Tin Soldier

Comical tales and colourful animal puppets from land, sea and sky in a sway-a-long, bounce-a-long, sing-a-long romp of musical storytelling. Inspired by the Anansi folktales and rhythms of the Caribbean, this show is fun for all the family — because everyone loves Carnival! Ages 2+

The Steadfast Tin Soldier tumbles from a window ledge and begins an adventure into the unknown… A charming adaptation of the traditional tale by Hans Christian Andersen told with puppetry, music and storeytelling. Ages 3+

George and the Dragon In a cave under the castle lurks a dragon waiting to devour monks, knights, sheep and princesses… Will brave George be bold enough to challenge the fiery dragon or will he run away? This award-winning show brings together a delicious mix of rod and glove puppetry, clowning and comedy. Ages 5+

Petrushka

Set in an old Russian fair, Krazy Kat Theatre tell the story of a mysterious travelling showman and his magical puppets that come alive. Petrushka is the most unruly puppet of all. Packed with puppets, mime, dance, song, sign language and lots of laughs, don’t miss this new show from the creators of Clownderella. Terry Jones’ Fairy Tales

A tiny boat, a little lost man and the great wide ocean — how can he get home? And why does that fish keep biting him on the bottom? Singing whales, acrobatic dolphins and lots of deep-sea creatures swim to the surface in this aquatic adventure from the makers of the sell-out Dragon’s Teeth and Other Tales. Featuring puppetry, animation, live-music and the odd squirt of water. Ages 5+

The star of Dr Nose Travels through Time is back! Thurtinkle is a wise old gnome with a big nose, a big heart and a big appetite for sniffing out stories! With author Terry Jones’ witty writing style mixed with puppets, percussion and participation, find out why Thurtinkle loves his beautiful big nose and laugh at the crazy antics of two greedy robbers. Following Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus — our favourite feathered friend is back with a new story! The Bus Driver says it’s time for bed but Pigeon wants to stay up late… with lots of laughs and audience participation. Ages 3+

Come and hear all about the king who grew donkeys’ ears, the minotaur trapped in a maze and a little boy who learned to fly in a musical storytelling show based on Greek myths. With lots of songs, audience participation, friendly monsters and silly hats. Ages 3+

Set in a carpenter’s workshop, this is the classic tale of the puppet that wants to be a real boy. See Pinocchio carved live on stage! Every show is unique, as puppetry, illusion and music combine to create a witty and inventive show with a big heart. Ages 4+

A flowery FREE fun day out for all the family! Write an idea on a flower petal and watch it blossom — to become part of a live show, a film, a mosaic, a projection or a song. You can watch, take part or simply help us fill the Lyric with giant tulips! Celebrate the great British Summer the only way the Lyric can! In 2007 we danced with umbrellas and it wasn’t even raining; last year we brought the humble British handkerchief centre stage and this year we are helping our new garden grow with a Bloomin’ Marvellous Summer Party. It is going to be a fun packed day of shows and activities for all the family created by Peepolykus and some of London’s best theatre makers. From ages 2+ All day FREE event 16
