Aoibhinn McGoona, substitute Hayley Costello and Regina Hand were tireless in their efforts to thwart the Dunboyne attack and young Kelsey Nesbitt gave an exhibition on blocking Dunboyne ball. The Simonstown girls found their rhythm once again and dominated all over the field. A third penalty was awarded, this one to Simonstown, and midfielder Lane blasted it into the net. Dunboyne battled hard to the end but Simonstown were unstoppable and finished comprehensive winners with a nineteen point margin to claim their fifth successive title, a very impressive achievement for these talented young footballers. After the game Meath Ladies Chairperson Aisling Clery presented the U16 Division 1 Championship Cup to Captain Kelly Harris. Best for Simonstown were Nicole Byrne, Aisling Cassidy, Eleanor Lane, Ella Devine, Kelly Harris, Ruth Coughlan and Naoise de Graaff. Simonstown Ladies U14 Feile team claimed the clubs first ever Division 2 title in June when they accounted for Cavan club Lurgan by the narrowest of margins. The Simonstown girls began the competition on the Friday afternoon with a resounding win over their host club St. Josephs of Kellyville, Co. Laois, 5-7 to 3–2. Saturday saw the girls with at least two games to play and in the first of these they had a hard fought win over Monesterevin of Kildare (2–6 to 1–4). Their third and final game of
