Maintaining a proud family tradition

Armagh man Richard McBride was extending a proud family tradition in the road transport industry when he established Richard McBride Livestock Haulage eight years ago. Very much a one-man operation, the company has grown from strength to strength in the meantime, providing an unrivalled service throughout the island of Ireland and also across the UK. Irish Trucker dropped into the Newtownhamilton depot and met up with eponymous founder Richard to discuss the story of his business so far as well as his future hopes.

ichard McBride has been a trucker for the best part of 25 years, fronting his own livestocktransportation operation for almost a decade now. Reflecting on the genesis of Richard McBride Livestock Haulage, he tells Irish Trucker: “I set the business up in 2005 and it’s more or less a one-man operation.
