Thankfully, all of our customers have been with us long term and I find that once you are providing a good service then there will be very little quibbling over the rates. their optimum. From the tyres to the fuel, you have to watch everything. We negotiate the fuel price on a week-to-week basis.

spending between €90,000 and €100,000 per month on fuel, a 1% swing is massive.
“We had the foresight to get
into the cold storage and that
has paid dividends. Myself
and my brother started up the cold
stores
and
they
complement the transport perfectly. We are in the
process of expanding the cold store capacity at both
Portlaoise and Roscrea, so all in all everything is moving forward.”
