trategically located on a prominent site alongside the main corridor between Belfast and Dublin, Wright Accident Repair Centres’ new purpose-built bodyshop, just outside Dromore in County Down, offers a full accident management service. This new bodyshop – which boasts state-of-the-art technology to carry out bodywork repairs and produce quality oven refinishing - had been in the works for twelve months and represents a substantial investment of time, money and industry. Wright Accident Repair Centres Ltd. has been providing a stellar accident management service to motorists in Northern Ireland and beyond for over four decades, offering a full accident repair and 24-hour breakdown recovery service for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles both north and south of the border. Reflecting on the genesis of the family business, which was established in Dromore over 40 years ago, general manager Dougie Spiers notes: “The business was started in 1971 by Donald and Jenny Wright, who are still the main shareholders today. Donald and Jenny are joined in the running of the business by their sons Mark and Richard.” The group comprises a total of four workshops – located in Belfast, Dromore, Dundonald and Mallusk (Newtownabbey) – with around 90% of their work coming via insurance companies (Wrights are approved by the vast majority of these). They are also a fullapproved repairer for the likes of Peugeot, Hyundai and BMW. Over the years, Wright ARC have built a solid reputation
as the accident repairer of choice in Northern Ireland, embracing constant changes both in repair technology and computerisation. Wright ARC have consistently chosen the manufacturers’ standard repair methods through the years and this has put them in good standing with insurance companies, brokers, fleet companies and the private motorist. They believe in doing the job right first time, every time, and this is why their reputation now precedes them. Of course, becoming an approved repairer for leading insurance companies requires constant investment in modern equipment and Wright Accident Repair Centres have never left any stone unturned in this department, investing enormously over the years in staff, equipment, technology, facilities and premises. For example, between the four accident repair centres, there are 19 baking ovens to ensure that every repaired vehicle is finished to the most precise standard possible. “We run four state-of-the-art facilities,” Dougie confirms. “We have a 37,000 sq ft facility here at Saintfield Road, Belfast, which was opened in 2001 and we have 23,000 sq ft bodyshops at both Dundonald and Mallusk, which we opened in 2004 and 2005 respectively. “In total, across the entire operation, we employ 160 people, all of whom are fullytrained and highly-skilled in their particular area of expertise. We operate a fleet of 250 courtesy cars to ensure that our customers are never off the road and we have a recovery fleet of six trucks and vans.” Everything is 100% customer–orientated. From the fist point of contact, customers are made to feel at ease in a comfortable, bright,
