BILL MOORER AWARD Gary Williams - Bay Cities Bank Bill Moorer was a past president of the Land O’Lakes Board many years ago, who passed away in the 1980s. Bill presided over the Board with such distinction that this award was named in his honor. The purpose of this award is to honor a non-REALTOR® in our community who has made a difference in the lives of others, and who has selflessly served our community by contributing their time, energy and talents to the benefit of all and traditionally goes to someone with many years of service to the community.
AWARD OF EXCELLENCE – COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN (Juanita Dennis Award) Deborah Farmer - StarLight Realty This award goes to the Committee Chairman who has exhibited outstanding leadership and service to the committee. PRESIDENT’S FAREWELL
December 13th was my last meeting as President of CPAR and it was a bit sad for me but it was also exciting when I looked back over the past year and saw what CPAR had accomplished for our members. We now have MLXchange available thru CPAR for all of our members. Our membership has grown by leaps and bounds and is continuing to grow every single day. We have a wonderful Administrative Executive in Joan Eustice who continues to work on our behalf and with all of our members in solving our problems. Our Meet n’ Greet events held this year were a huge success thanks to our business partners and their chairperson, Lynne Tonte with National Property Inspections. These events gave all of us a chance to get to know each other better and share our knowledge with each other. PS: If you haven’t yet attended a Meet n’ Greet event, watch your emails because Lynne Tonte will be scheduling them again for 2013 and you won’t want to miss them. All in all, it was a very good year. I have enjoyed being President of CPAR and working with the officers this year. I couldn’t have asked for a better group to work with and I thank each and every one of them for their support and assistance. The President cannot do their job (and keep their sanity) without help from others so I was very lucky to have the back-up I had this year. Ed Anderson will take the helm as of January 1, 2013 and Ed has a lot planned for CPAR – more educational seminars is top on his list as well as on our members’ lists. Again, check your emails next month and see the 2013 calendar Ed is setting up – you will be excited with his plans. So, it is with a fond farewell that I say good-bye as your President and I am happy to say I will continue to work for CPAR to keep our growth and success going strong for 2013 and the years to follow. Thank you one and all for your support and friendship and I will see you at the next meeting.

2013 President’s Message  I want to start out by wishing everyone a happy holiday and safe and prosperous new year. Last week I was inaugurated by the Central Pasco Association of Realtors as the 2013 president. Our Association has come a long way in the last few years but we still have a lot to do in the coming years. Over the next year of my presidency, I have several goals I would like to achieve with the help of all our members and leaders. My primary goal is to increase our membership. The more members we have the more things we will be able to achieve. With a large member base, we will be able to provide more services and more educational opportunities to our membership. My second goal is to increase our educational offerings over the next year. I want to have our Association offering a wide array of educational courses with some of them offering continuing education credits. As our board grows there will be many challenges but with our current leadership and our dedicated members I know we will be able to meet them and exceed our goals and expectations. I also want to take a moment to thank our partners. They have been a very important part of our Association and will continue to be so in the future. We do value them greatly. Over the next couple of weeks I will also be looking for individuals to fill some of the open committee chairmanships. Help us grow our association by being involved. I look forward to the next year and hope to meet every one of you at one of our future meetings.

Dear Realtor®, The Central Pasco Association of REALTORS® (CPAR) offers MFRMLS, Supra Lockboxes, ethics education and CEU classes for substantially less. Some FAQs: 1. Everyone in an office has to belong to the same Association. NOT TRUE. If you want to join the Central Pasco Association because we offer more reasonable pricing on dues, products and services, you can do that. However, your Broker must be a primary or secondary member—a secondary membership currently is $75.00. There are no application fees nor set-up fees through 2012 for your 2013 dues. 2. I will lose my MFRMLS and ListingBook privileges. NOT TRUE. The MLS participatory rights are available to any Realtor® … regardless of where they hold primary membership … (Article 2, MLS Rules and Regulations) 3. Your 2013 dues with the Central Pasco Association of Realtors® are $356.00 (CPAR— $75.00; FR—$126.00; NAR—$155.00. All Realtors® are required to pay the FR and NAR dues plus local dues to remain a Realtor®. You are encouraged to contribute to RPAC but it is not mandatory. 4. Supra key annual fees are less expensive because the CPAR Board of Directors has voted to NOT add a processing fee to their contract rates. We are an Association for our members. Most of us have a list of “I want to’s” but far fewer of us go any further than that. Why? It’s not because we can’t, although sometimes we like to tell ourselves that. It’s really because we don’t want to bad enough. “If it’s important you’ll find a way. If it’s not, you’ll find an excuse.” – Ryan Blair It’s time to take inventory and decide. Who do you want to become? What do you want to achieve? There’s no better day than today to start turning those “I want to’s” into “to do’s.” It might not be easy and it probably won’t happen overnight but your life, your mission, whatever it is you were called to do is too important for you to settle. Don’t keep putting it off. Don’t keep wishing and dreaming. Start doing. And, when you want to give up… read this again and keep going. Every success comes at a price (time, effort, attention).
