Somewhere in the Enchanted Garden is a collaborative, 10 day programme of creative workshops and hands-on talks celebrating the beauty and importance of nature, as imagined by Tessa Packard and Lyndsey Ingram. During the programme, both Tessa and Lyndsey’s spaces will exhibit work from Tessa’s new ‘Once Upon a Time in my Secret Garden’ jewellery collection and botanical works on paper by a variety of artists from Lyndsey Ingram.

Wonderland Earrings 18ct yellow gold, citrine, verdigris brass, black rhodium and white enamel earrings The Wonderland Earrings owe their inspiration to Lewis Carroll and his iconic book, Alice in Wonderland. When asked by Alice “How is it you can talk so nicely”, the Tiger-lily flower responds “In most gardens they make the beds too soft so that the flowers are always asleep”. In Tessa’s imagined garden all the flowers would be very much alive and talking, akin to way these earrings are brought to life when worn. 8

Magic Fairyland Necklace �ct yellow gold, silver and verdigris brass necklace The Magic Fairyland Necklace is one of the many floral-themed pieces from Tessa’s Once Upon a Time in My Secret Garden collection. Drawing inspiration from the magical woodland settings of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Cicely Mary Barker’s iconic Flower Fairy books, this necklace imagines the jewellery a forest nymph might wear, foraged from the plants, flowers and shrubs around her. 12

Midsummer Ring 18ct yellow gold, black rhodium, enamel verdigris brass and yellow sapphire ring If Queen Titania wore jewellery, this would be firmly on her finger. As the name suggests, this one-of-a-king ring draws its inspiration from the woodland world created by Shakespeare in his iconic play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Here a blossoming flower is given the magical addition of white dots, transforming it into a hybrid flower-toadstool, because in Tessa’s imagined garden there would be a whole host of new plant species, just like this one. 16

Rock Pool Cufflinks 18ct yellow gold vermeil, onyx and verdigris brass cufflinks In the north west corner of Tessa’s imagined garden there lives a watery grotto. Its cave-like walls are decorated with broken seashells and white coral, and in the cool, dark waters of the rock pool below miniature crabs can be seen swimming at midnight. These striking cufflinks draw their inspiration in both form and colour from this damp, shadowy world with the use of green, mossy verdigris and black onyx. 20

Rock Pool Earrings 18ct white gold, verdigris brass, black rhodium, white enamel and citrine earrings In the north west corner of Tessa’s imagined garden there lives a watery grotto. Canopy Earrings 18ct yellow gold, black rhodium, verdigris brass and yellow agate earrings These beautiful leaf earrings take their direct inspiration from the many leaves that make up a tree’s canopy. Here, the verdigris finish is representational not only of the verdant green of a canopy in summer but also of the antique, aged and weathered, as one would expect an earring to become when lost in a garden. 32

Garden Gate Necklace 9ct yellow gold, verdigris brass and silver necklace Gardens have an acute power to make a visitor feel as though they have entered into a new world. In Tessa’s Once Upon a Time in My Secret Garden collection, the key is a symbol for unlocking ‘other-worldly-ness’ - and more fundamentally – a symbol for unlocking the power of the creative imagination. The Garden Gate Necklace aims to inspire what Tessa believes: that only the creator can unlock the gate to their own Wonderland. 36

Behind the Ivy Earrings �ct yellow gold, verdigris brass and citrine earrings In Tessa’s imagined garden there is a great dry-stone wall encircling the boundary. The wall is covered by dense ivy, so thick in places that it takes on the appearance of a vast forest of green. Hidden there - behind the ivy - are colonies of green beetles with wings as mossy as the stones they live on. These beautiful earrings imagine the insects and their habitat, recreating the moss-like texture of the beetles through the use of a verdigris finish. 40
