I have seen many plans on how to read the Bible in one year. I have tried some of them, but to no avail. While reading the Bible and returning to God’s way is of the utmost importance, the day-to-day trials and tribulations presented me from completing the one-year plan. There are 66 books in the Bible. This requires that I read, and think about, about one and a quarter books each week. This would entail about a half- to a full-hour of quiet time daily. Didn’t happen. What I have put together is a three-year plan. The plan requires that I read and meditate on only one chapter daily, about 10-15 minutes.

Seven years later, September, 2008 – the United States economy is hit and collapses Another Shmitah year. Seven years later, September, 2015 . . . Yet another Shmitah year. Perhaps we need to return to God, change from our Earthly ways and return to God’s way.
