We believe that learning should be fun and creative so our curriculum gives you a wide choice of classes. Tuition is in small groups to ensure the best possible support for learners. The prospectus is divided into two sections:

• Life-Skills classes and Skills for Life classes for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.

• Leisure Choices classes for adults with physical and sensory disabilities and CHANT classes for adults with communication disabilities including Aphasia.

The Adult Learning Alliance welcomes diversity in its learning environment and values difference. We are constantly striving to provide outstanding support for our learners and eliminate any form of discrimination. We want you to get the most out of your course, so please ask for any help or assistance you may need and we will do our best to support you.

Course information

If you would like further information on any of the courses in this prospectus or you are unsure which is the best course for you ring (0191) 643 8817 and ask for a ‘Course Information Sheet’.

What we expect from you

Any learner in need of support for personal care or behavioural problems must bring a personal assistant to every session. Once you get a place in a class you must come regularly and be punctual. If you miss more than 3 weeks without letting us know why we will give your place to someone on the waiting list.
