I started making jewelry for myself, putting my own meaning in each piece, or rather to say, that the idea of creating jewelry was born at certain periods of my life and each product has its own history, which will remain forever in this product and in my life as well. While cooperating and creatin of jewelry for myself, I discovered a new world of creativite and talented people. Thus the personal creation of jewelry was born. Our customers are people who want individuality or who want to make a piece of jewelry with a special purpose or meaning, or for some important reason. Nowadays, more and more people are investing in stones and so that the stone does not “get dust” in the safe - we are ready to create a unique jewelry pieces that our customers will enjoy, and we will be proud to be the creators of these jewelry artworks. Some customers already have their own design - ideas that we can bring to life, thanks to the talented jewelers whom we work with. This is, of course, a personal contact with the client, since we want to convey the unique meaning that our customer puts into this product.

I personally prefer natural stones, as they are rare and unique gifts of our Earth. They carry a lot of energy accumulated in them for millions of years, during which they were created by our planet. As for the desire of customers, we try to find unique gemstones according to their request. I prefer to work with gemstone producers. These people are in love with the gifts of nature and come into contact with it directly, extracting from it the gemstones of the utmost beauty and uniqueness, which we then turn into jewelry, possessing the same full love and energy that we all put into the process of creation. All the jewelry pieces are made with love for what we do.

What is the most memorable jewelry for you?

It is the jewelry which will reflect individuality, remind of an important event in life, it will be the exact highlight that is sometimes lacking in a perfect outfit and will emphasize the beauty of those unforgettably beautiful gemstones that we use.

The ring is one, and in fact there are 2 of them - I have two twin girls - they are one and you cannot find any difference, but in reality they are two different personalities. The ring “Cork from Champagne” is the result of creative collaboration, which was the beginning of the new joint project with Tatiana Mitus (www.mitusdesign.com). We were united by a passion for beauty and the conviction that a woman without jewelry is like champagne without bubbles.

We have already told our readers about the place in your life which is occupied by art? How did your creativity begin, and what inspires you today?

Which artist influences your work?

My creativity started with the idea that my girls are getting older (2 years) and I have to teach them to paint beautifully. That is why I decided to go to the lessons of “classical painting” at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) - it was a big discovery for me how deeply I plunged into the creative process and how much I forgot about reality when I held a pencil in my hand... It was a black and white course (I called it like this). There was a lot of stress and at the moment I realized that I lacked “bright colors” in my life. So I started using Paints (color) and this is how my artworks have been created. It is almost always that my work and colors in particular is a reflection of my state of mind, my mood and my thoughts. Each Paiting has its own history, each Paiting has its own meaning and It can be said that I am painting the story of my life, I am painting about my brightest and most painful experiences and advents in life with the help of painting.

My creative path was associated with the color therapy for me personally. It is for this reason that I participate in various projects which are related to the therapy of children through painting. I think the efficiency of such therapy is extremely high and I have seen a lot of positive results. My works exist in different countries (USA, Monaco, Russia), respectively, I plan to hold exhibitions in each of the countries. I took part in art exhibitions and interior design exhibitions in the United States of America. I plan to open a small gallery, but so far I cannot say which country it will be in. Thanks to the Internet the space has been worn out on our planet, so now it’s not difficult to find the artist you are interested in, starting with the Internet space.

he Continental GT Number 9 Edition will be styled in the spirit of the legendary racing Bentley Blower, which was driven by Sir Henry Ralph Stanley "Tim" Birkin in the 24-hour marathon at Le Mans held in 1930. Due to this circumstance the modern model features the exclusive drawing N 9 on the grille, referring to the car of 1929 year. The lucky owners of the unique car can choose from the offered two options of the body coloring: green or black, but regardless of the color, all compartments will be equipped with twenty-one inch wheels along with a ten spoke design. The salon can also be made either in “Cumbrian Green” or in black “Beluga”.

The center console received a special aluminum finish which is called “Engine Spin”, resembling fish scales. This unique solution is designed to remind about the classic sports cars of the sample of the twenties and thirties of the last century. The central panel is equipped with an analog clock, a pair of round ventilation vents with gold-plated adjustment knobs and "1 of 100" nameplates. The design of the watch face is a reference to the racing Blower N9. Each car received a piece of wood

We work on many different great and interesting projects as a very big hotel in Los Angeles were we put 7,5 meter height DW’s to open the whole Lobby on a wide of 40meter. The projects in the various cities of the world are currently in the planning phase or are being produced. In April we open our first Showroom in Dubai and at the same time two new projects are starting on Daria island. In summer we start a new collaboration with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. We have just finished two new product lines and have completed first visualizations. The first line

What do you consider to be your biggest professional and personal achievements?

We are peerless when it comes to creating a feeling of open space. We built a truly uncompromising solution for an aesthetic problem. Before HIRT swiss descending windows, this did not exist. And today, we are glad that we did. Personally, what makes me happiest is that we work in an very family oriented surrounding with all our Distribution Partners. Our principle is: Having happy customers, is what we like most on our product!

Mrs. Vacheva, you are an astonishing woman - the winner of multiple beauty contests, holding the title of Mrs. Bulgaria. At the same time, you are actively engaged in working for your husband’s business.

What prompted you to choose to get involved in a sector that has always been considered more masculine rather than continuing your path in the beauty industry?

After more than 20 years in the beauty industry I have experienced pretty much everything that can be seen in this industry. The love to my husband was the reason and has made it very easy for me to follow the path in a "seemingly" completely new direction. Of course, the office routine has already made quite a change in my daily routine. Luckily we have a product which is the "supermodel" in the construction sector. Our product is integrated into the projects almost exclusively via emotions. I think that as a woman I can transport all these emotions well – and as you can see it is very similar to my old life in the beauty industry. (Laughs.)

Which female traits indulged can make a business powerful? From your experience, how do you and your husband complete each other in making the right decisions?

As a woman I can set new standards especially in a business that is dominated historically by men. I can deal well with emotions and convey them appropriately. Especially my sense for design, colors and aesthetics is very well received by our customers and often extends the cooperation. I have a very intense relationship with Martin and we talk a lot with each other. It is very important for us to agree on a common strategy and goals which we then assign according to the respective competencies and strengths. I do not know how we could see each other, if we would not work together and have this to our passion.

homas Hug, director of artgenève, is a radical innovator. artgenève had been running for five years when several galleries and collectors mentioned to Hug that the Monaco Principality was on the lookout for a different sort of art fair. The Riviera was terra incognita for Hug, who nevertheless entered a competition organized by the Grimaldi Forum and won the project. аrtmonte-carlo combines a cherry-picked selection of the best international galleries and the non-commercial, with a mini-biennale of bespoke shows staged by art institutions from the region. The flavour of artmontecarlo is one of diversity, of a beguiling mix of prestigious heavyweights and new talent. The Monte Carlo Salon d’Art has its own innovative trademark: a forum entitled “Criss-Cross/Art Institutionsin Dialogue” which was Hug’s inspiration. Monaco is a microcosm of the profusion of art and culture that extends all along the French Riviera.

The advent of аrtmonte-carlo has encouraged a sense of regional identity and pride. Another enriching addition is the inclusion of the PAD (Pavillion of Arts and Design) with a fascinating selection of artefacts across design and the decorative arts. lexander, you are world’s famous honored and award-winning confectioner, young professionals are learning from you and dreaming of reaching the same heights as you have done. How did you come to your profession? What is the main secret of your success?

When I was 5-6 years old, I ate a lot of different sweet, however I was often restricted and I always quarreled, saying that when I grow up, I would be a confectioner and I would make a variety of delicious pastries for myself. It’s a joke, but when the question came up about choosing my future profession, I decided to become confectioner, and I wanted to work in a hotel abroad: in Paris or in New York and bake various cakes, including the wedding ones. I watched on TV how people in huge hoods and white uniforms took out giant cakes, and I was thinking about how wonderful it would be if I were one of them. After finishing school I went to study for confectioner. But in order to achieve something, you

Not in vain that confectionery is called an art, confectioner is in many ways an artist. What inspires you to create sweet masterpieces?

Yes, you are right. Of course, confectionery is an art and confectioners should treat their job like artists always holding something creative and interesting in their minds. As for the source of inspiration especially in Monaco it is the sun, sea, nature, architecture for me.

You are the Confectioner Chef of the most famous and popular pastry shop in Monaco Patisserie Riviera Monte-Carlo. A pastry shop with history and traditions.

What makes it different from others now, what is its peculiarity and "highlight"?

Patisserie Riviera Monte-Carlo has existed since 1955, and we are the third owners of this pastry shop. When we just bought it, it was a bit in an abandoned state, because the previous owners had worked there for 35 years and they were already going to get retired, so they will not be interested in the conditions of the pastry shop

Then gradually, in order not to scare away the visitors, we began to change the interior of the pastry shop. Today its interior is in pistachio color, and we have proceeded to the terrace which will soon become all-new.

Every day you bring joy to many guests of the pastry shop, giving them pleasure to enjoy the best desserts.

Having sweetened others’ lives, what does the main Confectioner Chef of Monaco himself dream of? What makes you happy?

Of course, we try to sweeten people’s life with our desserts, because any kind of sweet, chocolate always make a good mood for people. It is always the endorphins of happiness. I dream of the development of the pastry shop, so that it becomes a favorite and popular place for people who love desserts, so that it becomes known not only in Monaco, but throughout the world. I would like people visiting Monaco to come obligatory to Patisserie Riviera Monte-Carlo and enjoy our great products.

oung Scotsman James Christie opened his first permanent auction halls in 83-84 Pall Mall (London) in 1766. His first sale included several sheets, two pillowcases, two night pots and four Indian glassworks. e held his first auction, entirely dedicated to the paintings less than six months later on March 20, 1767. Christie was distinguished not only by the content of his sales: he re-invented the atmosphere, brought more transparency to the auction process and created a new attitude towards conducting auctions. Auctions were mostly banal events before Christie's activity.

Christie turned auctioning into an art. It was a performance for him. During the 1960s and 1970s, Christie's proved that his innovative spirit of its founder is still a motive force in a company that is 200 years old and has started to expand globally.

In 1958, Christie's opened its first representative office in Rome, then in 1968 opened a trading room in Geneva. Paris office opened in the old Max Ernst studio. In 1969, Christie's held its first

The first auction was held on December 5, 2001 at Christie's Paris, Matignon Avenue where an international home could perform. Christie's Monaco was one of Christie's auction halls until 2001, where the legendary art collection of Karl Lagerfeld was sold in April 2000. Today, Christie’s in Monaco is headed by Nancy Dott, who turned it into a piece of the world of international auctions.

Christie's holds about 350 auctions per year in 80 categories. The new millennium brought exciting changes. In 2006, Christie's launched Christie's Live ™ allowing to bid in real time from anywhere in the world with the help of the Internet. In 2011, Christie's was the first international auction house that conducted sales only via the Internet offering 1,000 lots from the Elizabeth Taylor collection.

Today, Christie's holds about 85-90 online auctions per year and made up £ 70 million in 2018. Sales only via the Internet continue to be the number one recruiter for Christie's new buyers (41%).

Globally, Christie's has shown the highest level of artwork sales in the company's whole history.

In 2018 the sales of the auction amounted to £ 5.3 billion / $ 7 billion. This happened due to the fact of the historical sale of the Peggy and David Rockefeller Collection which is the most significant collection ever sold at auction, totaling $ 835 million for charitable purposes. Christie's has its own auctioneer books from 1766 to the present.

From the point of view of provenance research, they are the highest document and the main resource. There are three important documents that most auction houses own: published sales catalogs. Clerks' books are confidential documents that record all bids, regardless of whether they are sold or not. Auctioneers' books contain many confidential pieces of information for each individual object. Majid Boustany PASSION? FRANCIS BACON!

he most interesting and unique collections are often closed from public displays.

However, fortunately, there are some exceptions. Majid Boustany is the founder and director of the Francis Bacon MB Art Foundation: a foundation dedicated to the study of life and creative path of one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. In an interview, he talks about how he became fascinated by the artist and how the foundation dedicated to Francis Bacon was created in Monaco / Самые интересные и уникальные коллекции оказываются закрытыми от публичных показов. My first meeting with Francis Bacon is directly related to my study in London in the early 1990s. I signed up for a short course in art history while conducting academic studies in business and international relations.

At one of the expositions in the Tate Gallery, I saw the mysterious triptych of Bacon “Three Studies to Figures at the Foot of the Crucifixion” (1944). The artist emphasized the ambiguity of interpretations and literally made me get closer acquainted with this work. My immersion into the artist's work, his life, and creative process began in those years and continues to this day.

What is so special you found in the artist’s work that triggered you to establish the foundation after his name?

I have always admired the uncompromising attitude of Bacon both in his life and in his work. He confronts you with the human presence, the human condition and human drama. What is surprising: when you look at the painting of Bacon, you are bound to encounter the duality between life and death, sacred and somewhat blasphemous, between the aggressor and the victim.

I was fascinated by such a contrasting personality of the British artist and always perceived Bacon as a lonely and disciplined person. He was a loner who loved parties, an atheist, obsessed with religious themes, a generous and charming man who, in a moment, could seem cruel. I admire the fact that Bacon is a self-taught

How did you come up with the idea of creating the foundation and what is its mission? And why exactly Monaco, after all, Bacon traveled a lot and lived for a long time in London and Paris?

In the process of studying the artist's biography, I learned that Bacon began visiting Monaco at the dawn of the 1940s and lived here from 1946 until 1990s.

Contemplating Bacon’s affection for Monaco and his keen passion for this place, I began to dream of a specific project in memory of his stay here. In 2010, I initiated the project thanks to the key support of the Prince of Monaco Albert II and the authorities of Monaco. Editor of catalog Martin Harrison supported by a unique initiative. The Francis Bacon MB Art Foundation was solemnly opened on the anniversary of the birth of Francis Bacon on October 28, 2014. Our foundation is dedicated to a deeper study of the work, life and creative process of Francis Bacon all over the world, paying particular attention to the period when the artist lived and worked in Monaco and in France.

It is open to researchers and to the public throughout the year (by appointment). The Foundation provides a unique opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the work of Bacon through a free guided tour, during which anyone can see about a hundred objects from my collection. The Foundation has already supported projects that are part of our mission: awarding scholarships to researchers and artists, publishing a book about Bacon and participating in various exhibitions and lectures, dedicated to the British painter in collaboration with local and international institutions.

How did life in Monaco affect works of Bacon? What new and special aspects appeared in his works?

It was exactly in Monaco that Bacon began to concentrate on the presentation of human forms, which became a decisive step towards the recognition of the main figurative artist of the twentieth century. In addition, Bacon set about his “Papal Drawings” (mainly he was inspired by Diego Velasquez's “Portrait of Pope Innocent X” painting) and to his “heads”. The Francis Bacon MB Art Foundation A NEW HANG PRESENTATION

o celebrate the fourth anniversary of its opening the Francis Bacon MB Art Foundation presents a new hang. Visitors to the Foundation can now discover around a hundred items dedicated to the British painter: paintings, graphic works, photographs, objects found in his various studios, letters and working documents. This re-hang also includes works by artists who knew Bacon or were influenced by his oeuvre. One room is entirely dedicated to his Parisian studio, where he worked for more than a decade.

Free guided tours take place every Tuesday and on the first Saturday of each month, by appointment only.

Its name and design are devoted to the river Orb, which flows into the hometown of the Swiss manufactory. Haute Joaillerie watches took a fantastic “smooth” shape and were fully instructed by diamonds and sapphires in blue and orange shades.

talian designer, specialist in the manufacturing of expensive knives, made the project together with the avant-garde watch brand Urwerk. The UR-T8 watch was chosen as a “decorative” object. Their cover was decorated with exquisite mosaic of Tahitian motherof-pearl - all the details of a diamond shape are cut from one shell, fixed on a plate, and then polished to a perfectly smooth surface. It takes up to three weeks to work. In a pair of watches for the UR-T8 Colibri, Esposito made a folding knife with a steel handle with the same inlaid motif. This duet became a truly brilliant surprise for the fans of knives and watches.
