the room this whole time. She has been interacting with the students and asking them questions like “Did you all bring your own bottled water today?. I listened to their conversation very closely and heard the teacher’s reminder to always drink water especially once the afternoon rolls around. Why is their topic all about the weather today? Don’t they have something new to talk about?

Ough ough! Oh my God! I totally forgot that I am sick today. When I looked back at what had happened, I thought, was it all my fault? Is it my fault that I’m sick, or should I blame others who are more responsible for what they’re going through right now? I have been going from room to room trying to share my glow, but all I have been doing is spread my sickness. I cast all my worries away. Instead of questioning, I should just go around once again. For the last time, I just want to see people who are genuinely happy and don’t even give a damn about me. I noticed a group of people at the top of the building on the school’s “covered court”. This is different huh... despite the hot weather, they’re still having fun and even though they are already sweating, they continue dancing some were trying to find their friends, while most of them were trying to find the most refreshing drink that they could find.

“Palamig”,”halo-halo”, and “juices” are the three beverages I constantly hear that the students buy to satisfy their needs. I wonder what those drinks taste like, and why they are the “best sellers” for today’s menu.

After roaming the whole canteen, I have decided to ease up a bit to lighten the mood. Angling my position, directly hitting another room full of people. But

I think these students are much younger than the others I saw previously. They look so serious while answering something on a sheet of paper, almost like it is too embarrassing to even cough. Minutes had passed since I stayed here watching them. I saw once again the frowning faces that the others wore before, but unlike those students, they are just probably having a hard time answering their exams. It is not my fault right? I did not even do anything! Or so I thought… They started fake crying and being dramatic because they said that they felt very “hot”.

Just like what I saw from the rooms I have been in before, these children are doing the same thing again. This time, they have someone in front of them. I think this is who they call a “teacher”. This tall human is talking about something that I cannot comprehend. It seems like she is acting like the students in front of her, she is also fanning herself and making sure that the fan hits the portion of the room that she is in.

This teacher has been walking around enthusiastically to every beat of the music. All of a sudden, someone made a mistake, and they all laughed. I also found the incident to be hilarious, so I laughed too. Hahaha! It was a rollercoaster ride, exploring this school. But it is getting quite late, so I must go. I think my friend is here to replace me for the night.

As I was about to leave, I heard someone say, “Oh Mr. Sun, why must you hurt me this way?”. I do not know how to tell them that I did not mean for this to happen! My bright golden arms have a mind of their own and I have no control over them. I wish I could tell them that they could help by taking better care of the nature that controls my system, the same nature that they live in. Maybe then we will have a common ground and have an enjoyable and not such a cruel summer.
