In a stunning display of skill and determination, Jayrald Jade Antiporta proved himself to be one of the best wood pushers in Bagong Silangan High Schoolearning him an impressive 3rd place in the First Inter School Chess Team Tournament on Monday, February 27 at Marikina NSDGA.

In the first and subsequent game, the 13 years old high school student from Bagong Silangan High School (BSHS) initiated his opening moves in an Italian Game. The momentum of the game was sustained by Antiporta’s introduction of Queens Gambit and Englund Gambit as an inception throughout the third and fourth game.

The commencement made by Antiporta catalyzed an anxiousness within his opponents, pushing them to attentively consider their next actions given the nature of Antiporta’s moves.
In the midst of the fifth match, Antiporta took an unexpected turn when he altered his opening strategy from Englund to Queen Gambit which made his rival grapple with the situation, devising more lethal tactics to use against him.
