HARRIS CHARGED IN CONCH SHELL BAY MURDER Tuesday, 24 January 2017 Belize City Police have already arrested and charged 23 year-old Henry Rudolph Harris for the murder of 44 year-old Clinton Frazer, aka “Hog”. Harris has been arraigned and remanded. Clinton Frazer and his brother Michael became victims of a shooting on Sunday night, January 22, 2017, at just before 9:30. They were hanging out near the Conch Shell Bay Fish Market with several friends. Both men were not too far away from their family home in Conch Shell Bay area and so they may have thought that they were in safe territory. That didn’t matter, however because 2 gunmen arrived on separate bicycles and opened fire on the group, injuring both brothers. Clinton Frazer suffered a gunshot to the back, while Michael was injured in the right leg. Both men were transported to the KHMH, but unfortunately Clinton succumbed to the injury, about 20 minutes later while he was undergoing treatment. The doctors were able to treat Michael Frazer’s injury, and he is currently listed in a stable condition at the hospital. Less than a day later Police arrested and charged Henry Harris, aka “Alkaline” with Henry Rudolph Harris Clinton Frazer’s murder. Police say that he is a resident of George Street. He has since been arraigned before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer, and due to the nature of the offence, he couldn’t be granted bail. He has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison until the next adjournment of his case, which is scheduled for March 10. More Bloodshed as City Violence Escalates Wednesday, January 25, 2017 19 year-old Keimar Nicholas, a resident of Lindo’s Alley, has been hospitalized with a serious gunshot injury to the neck which happened only a day after Clinton Frazer was shot and killed right down the street. Once again, Police have already made an arrest for this shooting. The incident happened on Monday, January 23, 2017, on a basketball court which is right outside the door of his house. Police say that at around 8:40 p.m., while Nicholas was socializing with 2 friends on the court, a tall man rode up to them on a bicycle. That man then opened fired on them, injuring Nicholas to the left side of the neck. His family immediately rushed him to the KHMH for emergency medical treatment and the doctors were able to save his life from the immediate danger that evening. On Tuesday, doctors had to perform another surgery on him. So, while Nicholas clings to life, the police are in overdrive to try to solve the crime. They made extensive searches of the crime scene later that night, and they found an abandoned bike and a gun which they believe may have been used by the gunman.
