e’d like to take this opportunity to commend those employees who go above and beyond, and recognize the

outstanding customer service provided by some of our Managers. In this section we find a letter that was sent to our District Manager Cindy Melgoza-Sanchez early this year, which acknowledges the great service received by one of her employees, Elizabeth Gower-Marnocha, Property Manager for StorAmerica Phoenix/24th. We want to extend our congratulations for doing such an outstanding job!

Dear Mrs. Cindy Sanchez,

continue to exceed their expectations in all

I’m writing this letter to address an employee, Ms. Liz Marnocha at StorAmerica located on 24th St in Phoenix, AZ. Whom I’ve had the pleasure of doing business with recently with my new storage facility need. Ms. Marnocha impressed me with their delightful nature, the very minute I walked into the facility to rent a storage unit. She’s friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable and displays the outmost, top notch professionalism with her duties. Not only did I rent one storage, but I went back and leased two more for her. Ms. Marnocha is so well organized that it takes away the “pain“ of the actual act of renting a storage unit and the dreadful “moving” that goes with the rental. I wanted to take the time to write this letter due to the fact that everyone these days likes to contact management to complain but fewer individuals actually take the time to commend someone for a job well done, so I am pleased to be one of the few.

e’d like to give a special round of applause and congratulate StorAmerica Hawaiian Gardens

and its staff for achieving the 2nd Annual Community Pride Beautification Award Program, hosted by the City of Hawaiian Gardens and its Community Development Department. This is the second year in which our facility has won the award, and we are very proud of our Managers who have made this possible by keeping their facility well maintained, as well as spic and span. The award is given to a business or home in the city of Hawaiian Garden who has been nominated by residents of the area after hundreds of mailers have gone out to them, one the votes come in the judges will determine the winner based on the ballots. A gift certificate, a city plaque is given to the winner. A visual presentation of the facility is shown to all who attend the ceremony, held on June 22, 2010 at the City of Hawaiian Gardens Council chambers. uring the month of April, StorAmerica Self Storage and its partners came together to celebrate

Earth Day, this is a national day for awareness to help our environment, many communities come together to celebrate it every year. The event took place at some of our Orange county facilities on April 24, 2010. Special thanks to our host All Green Electronic Recycling and its staff as well as our facilities who participated and collected hundreds of electronics. On the right, we see Allen Carter, Corporate office staff, assisting at Costa Mesa Self Storage. On the picture below we see our Tustin Gateway location ready for this event.

In 2008 4.6 billion lbs. of E-waste was generated in the U.S. however, less than 900 million lbs. only 19 % of that waste was properly recycled.

Computer monitors and older TV picture tubes contain an average of four lbs. of lead and require special handling at the end of their intended use.

Improperly recycled e-waste ends up in landfills in the U.S. or is shipped to other countries such as China, India, Malaysia and Pakistan by unscrupulous traders.

he Reduce, Reuse, Recycle motto was no problem at our recent recycling event which took

place in the month of May in the Inland Empire area and Desert Cities. Our properties were proud participants of this Green event, helping the communities, and collecting hundreds of e-waste items. Our StorAmerica Palm Springs Property Manager, Dee Alvarez (right), Arlington Self Storage Property Manager, Joe Suazo (bottom) and Manila Alvarez (Wonder Woman) are seen on these photos assisting customers recycle all their used electronics. Other locations that were part of this Free recycling event on June 5-2010 were: StorAmerica Montclair, StorAmerica Ontario, Rancho RV & Self Storage, Leave it Lock it Self Storage and Statewide Self Storage. We’d like to thank All Green Recycling, and each and everyone one of StorAmerica staff who helped out make this event a success.
