Due to its properties I chose polished reflective stainless steel. Stainless steel is an high metal which has the remarkable property of being high resistant to corrosion. It is the addition of chromium which makes steel non-oxidizing. The smooth and non-porous surface makes it
difficult for bacteria and other micro- organisms to adhere and survive. This material has the ability to reform in the event of impact or scratching. One could almost call the material “self-healing”. In addition to this features there is one more strong point that support my choice. Stainless Steel is recomended to be used in kitchen utensils and food processing due to its good mechanical strength, resistance to corrosion, food compatibility and high durability.
