The Over the Rhine neighborhood in Cincinnati is currently facing a need for a public bathroom, especially in close proximity to Findlay Market. The project’s objective entailed incorporating an ADA-approved bathroom stall, a public shower, and water fountains. My design concept centered around the juxtaposition of light and airy elements. Upon entering the stall, occupants are greeted with ample headroom and a well-illuminated environment. However, from an external perspective, the structure adopts a dense grid pattern, effectively providing privacy and seclusion for those utilizing the facilities from the outside world.
