Textiles Batik Fabric Art

Discover the age-old art of batik, a fascinating wax-resist fabric dying technique, recognizable by its unique crackle effect. Using wax as a waterproofing agent between multiple dye processes, create two beautiful wall hangings using the whole cloth and a painterly method of applying color locally. Crochet: Beginning

Get ready to learn the basics of crochet! This class is for the true beginner and will focus on how to hold the yarn and crochet hook and how to chain stitch. This class is for the confident beginner who wants to take their skills to the next level. Learn single, half-double and treble stitches, and focus on the foundational processes needed before you pursue one-of-akind projects! Techniques and skills addressed include pattern reading, shell stitch, ripples and zigzags, granny and spiral motifs, and so much more!
