RECORDS

The “Omaha Era” team -- announced during the LSU-Mississippi State series in May 2008 -- is composed of former Tigers who played at LSU from 1984 to 2008. The selection of the squad coincided with LSU’s final season in 70-year-old Alex Box Stadium. The team was selected in online voting by fans at LSUsports.net. The squad includes eight outfielders, five catchers, 11 infielders and 14 pitchers.
