They are not only committed in providing quality hair cut services, but also providing customers with top shelf hair products for home use.

UNIVERSAL MESSAGE Banana’s Barbershop has a personal mission to provide customers with high-quality hair products and hair services to accommodate anyones need. Those who experience Banana’s Barbershops hair will be staisfied beyond thier expectations.

GOAL Following its brand identity as follows, Banana’s Barbershop can and will become a well established locale recognized not only in the town of South Gate but through out the whole city of Los Angeles.

BRAND STRAGEDY AND EXPRESSION Banana’s Barbershop shows confidence, self importance, fun,v and a warm welcome community. Exposing a Barbershop to new customers consist of visual marketing such as television commercials, At all times, Banana’s Barbershop must display business cards as well as haircut look books.


The Bananas Barbershop logo is the primary visual source of identification for the barbershop. In order to convey a consistent message and raise a strong brand awareness for our customers, the logo must never be recreated, manipulated, or distorted under any circumstance.

The letterform was created to represent a description for the logo that describes a banana and a razor to represent a barbershop. The letterform and the descriptor is set in Arno Pro Semibold Caption and defines Bananas Barbershop as a Barbershop. In instances where size is limited, the letterform/descriptor can stand alone. Arno is a type family created by Robert Slimbach at Adobe. The name refers to the river that runs through Florence, the centre of the Italian Renaissance. The typeface draws its inspiration from 15th and 16th century early humanistic typefaces and is designed in the tradition of early book types such as Venetian and Aldine. The retail Arno Pro family consists of 3 (4 for Display fonts) weights in roman and italic, 5 optical sizes. Each font supports Adobe CE, Adobe Western 2, Cyrillic, monoand polytonic Greek, Latin Extended, Vietnamese, dingbats character sets. Supported OpenType features include titling capitals, stylistic alternates, ligatures, proportional numbers, old style figures, small caps, subscripts and superscripts, ordinals, and swashes. The font family is a contemporary book type rooted in classical foundational forms. These forms being the calligraphically-inspired humanistic types of the Italian Renaissance. Because the traditional forms of text have had a rather conservative evolution the familiar handwriting practices remains embedded in the reader's mind. Robert Slimbach emphasize that it is crucial that designers of text typefaces work within its bounds. This applies equally to both classical styles and overtly modernist ones constructed entirely on a computer screen.

The area is based on the size of type of the letterform; the letter a within the circle demonstrates the isolation area. The letter a is equal to 0.75in., 19.05mm, 4.5 pica, 0.75px. Isolation area above the logo is also based on the size of the letterform type.

LOGO SIZE The size of the logo is measured across the width of the symbol and its width is based on adding height with the letter a within the circle from letterform. The default height of the letterform is 1.25”. The width of the logo at this height is 9”. To maintain the structure of the logo, the width should always be sized in relationship to the height. To ensure the best definition of the identity in reproduction, it should not be reproduced smaller than the minimum size height which is 0.25.” Original Artwork should always be used.

COLORS The color palette above demonstrates the colors used for logo and the different products that Banana Barbershops offers to its costumers. The four color process known as CMYK must be used for all product priniting.


BLACK & WHITE LOGO In addition to the multi-color logo, a black version, and a white (reverse) version are available. These versions can be used in various degrees of tints in 10% increments (from 10% down to 100%). When using these versions always maintain the transparency at 100%.
