Spring Theatre Fame
I
t began as the brain-child of Colleen La'
powski and promises to be the thesbian event of the decade. The cast. including John Chambers. Mike s<::arcelle. Peter Eisenhower, Jim VacclI. Jim Wickersham, Tom West, Tim Micsko and others plan to put on a show to remember. Of course I spe:ak of La Salle's spring production, Fame.
Early in December, just less than 200 pe0ple pack~ the hall outside the Band room ready to show off their best moves, display their highest notes and portray their most heart-wrenching characters, all yearning for one thing, "<J part," The mob was reduced to 30 of the best actors Montgomery County had to offer. Out first practice began and we were greeted by our vocal director, Lou Lanza. When dance practice began, Ken Williams, out choreographer. greeted us by leaching us to throw women onto our shoulders. So began our jOur~y into helL As the w~ks passed. we once again became a facsimile of a family. all of us working as one finely路tuned machine. As the lime of the show neared, things began 10 fall inlo place. We became serious. "Hard work" began to flow through our veins. The aerial feats, the vocels, the dancing and the aCling promise 10 come together as one of the best shows shown here at La Salle. To the cast. crew. and orchestra, I would like to resound, "We're gonna live forever!" Schwing!! by Jim Wickersham
