Yes. And history, geography, art, French – all of them.

First performances

Hannah and Adam are students at the Teen Talent School. Their first school performance was in the musical ‘Peter Pan’.

The musical was difficult. They practised and practised and practised.

The first night arrived – the school musical premiere! The show started, and it was fantastic. Everyone sang, danced and acted very well.

Then Adam had to fly (and sing at the same time). He flew across the stage.

But, but … Oh, no! Adam couldn’t stop. He flew into Wendy! Adam fell into the orchestra. It made a terrible noise. Hannah fell into the audience.

Adam and Hannah felt awful. But everyone in the audience laughed and clapped. Hannah and Adam were the stars of the show.

I love entertaining and making people laugh.

It’s my favorite thing to do.

People got interested right away. A music agent came to visit him at once and became his manager.

a: Do you watch iCarly? b: Yes, it’s one of my favourite shows. a: Have you heard how Miranda Cosgrove

started her career? b: No, how? a: Well, when she was very young, a talent scout just saw her singing and dancing round a table in a restaurant. He saw her talent and gave her a contract. b: Wow! That sounds like a fairy tale. a: Yes, but true. Her first jobs were TV commercials for McDonald’s.

They’ve got talent!

The year was 2010. Auditions for the UK X Factor were in full swing. Five young guys didn’t make it past the first “bootcamp” auditions. But X Factor judge Simon Cowell had an idea. They all look good, they all sound OK, why not put these guys together and make a boy band? What luck that Harry, Niall, Louis, Liam and Zayan thought it a good idea, too. What should the band be called? Why not One Direction?

So, One Direction started practising and got onto the X Factor show. They didn’t win the show; they came third, but so what? Their career was already going in one direction, to the top!
