Read the passage. Then proofread it, using proofreading marks to make corrections. Look for 10 mistakes related to nouns and adjectives.

A whistling sound around the window frame tells me the wind is strong than before. I look out the window and see a lake full of frothy waves that break the water’s surface. Seasgull barely flap their wings as they glide on the strong wind currents. Sheets of gray cloudes hide the sun; a storm quickly approaches. I am glad I am inside.

On these kind of day, I imagine a place more warm than this.

In my mind I am on an island tropical. The weather is hot and the breeze is mild. My brothers run to greet me, holding out a snorkel and fins. Peter and Ian’s loud Hawaiian print shirts make me laugh. Out in the shallows, I can just see the tips of Darcys fins and snorkel above the water. Mom waves to me as Dad flips a burger. Ah, the smell of Dad’s cooking is the goodest.
