of Jesus. What are some ways your lives are like Jesus’ life? How are your lives different? [Allow time for student responses. Sin offends God and hurts our relationship with him. Sin also hurts our relationships among people.
Fasting is a practice many Catholics use to try to resist the temptation to sin. One common form of fasting is to abstain from eating meat on Fridays, especially during Lent. Catholics also fast by giving up things they enjoy as a sacrifice to God.
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15
