It is a season of joy, longing, and expectation for the first coming of Jesus on earth and for his second coming as Judge of the world at the end of time. Mary has a primary role in the first coming and, as the Mother of the Church, a crucial role in the second one too. In this Office we pray with her and through her to be able to experience the incarnation in all its depth.

Advent Morning Prayer As we begin Morning Prayer, we sign our lips with the cross. Leader: O Lord, z open my lips, All: ~And my mouth shall declare your praise. Leader: Hail, Mary, full of grace. All: ~The Lord is with you. Leader: Blessed are you among women, Mary, All: ~And blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Psalm 67

A Call to Prayer
