It has been 11 years since Bataleon started the shape revolution. A revolution that continues to this day! In the old days there was only one shape for snowboard construction – traditional camber, but now there are hundreds. Developing the 100th shape took no courage, but developing the second sure as hell did! Everyone thought we were crazy and that 3D base shapes would never work! We were the first company to stand up and say that snowboards could and should be built better and 11 years down the road we are still shouting the same message, except that now it isn’t just traditional camber boards that ours are better than, it is every other shape as well! We are now the only company out there with more than a decade of experience in building boards with 3D bases. Our patented Triple Base Technology (3BT) makes turn initiation smoother, with fewer edge catches, more stability at high speed, floats better in powder and allows the board to be more playful and forgiving during landings. combines the best features of traditional and reverse camber, without the disadvantages of either. It makes snowboarding even more fun! We skipped our 10th birthday celebrations in favor of our 11th. Why 11th we hear you ask? To give the same answer as we gave to our critics all those years ago: Why not?

TRIPLE BASE TECHNOLOGY CHANGED EVERYTHING

3BT is a 3D base shape that combines full-length (tip-to-tail) camber with targeted reverse camber along the edges. It actually works, and works very well, improving your riding in all conditions.

region between the bindings. With less contact length under pressure, rocker boards are twitchier to carve and less stable than cambered boards. They are however easier and more forgiving.

Since the earliest days of snowboarding there has been a continuing search for the ultimate snowboard shape. We like to believe that somewhere around the turn of the millennium we discovered that philosophers stone and have been refining and polishing our ideas ever since.

There have been numerous attempts to get the best of both worlds and to by somehow marrying a rocker’s fun to a camber board’s performance. Call us arrogant, but these attempts were all a waste of time because the patented Triple Base Technology used in Bataleon Snowboards had already achieved this feat a decade ago, by combing a rail to rail concave with a tip to tail camber.

Over the past few seasons there have been many new developments in snowboard design with the majority relating to their camber. A traditional camber snowboard has edges that trace the edge of a large circle and it is raised off the ground between the bindings, with the snow contacts at the board’s widest points. This means that when pressure is applied to an edge, the board bends and the snow contact edge forms a curve. This allows the rider to carve, but it also causes the widest points of the board to be under more pressure and often dig into the snow. A reverse camber (rocker) board has its widest points raised off the ground, meaning that the snow contact is between the bindings. This solves the problem of the edges digging in and this is what makes rockers so forgiving to ride. However, when pressure is applied to an edge, this pressure is now largely limited to the

3BT separates the nose and tail sections (outside the bindings) into a centerbase and two sidebases. The centerbase runs the full length of the board, also covering its full width between the bindings and possessing a traditional camber profile throughout. The sidebases in nose and tail regions more than cancel the camber shape of the centerbase, lifting the edges at widest points out of the snow, even when bearing the weight of a rider. This gives the snowboard an edge-to-edge concave when viewed from the top. The sidebase uplifts begin in the binding areas and gradually increase their angle towards the widest points of the board. The reason for selecting this shape was simple: Imagine a traditional camber board being carved at high speed. The edge is under a lot of pressure, with

most of that pressure being concentrated towards its widest points. This tends to distort the shape of the snowboard by introducing torsional stresses across its width, bending the regions near the widest point away from being flat. We solved this by pressing our boards with this shape already, i.e. when they are not loaded with weight or under pressure. The board no longer needs to torsionally flex upon initiation of a turn and it carves smoother because it no longer snaps back to a flat state after the pressure is released. Because 3BT boards retain a full tip to tail traditional camber in the centerbase section they can store up mad pop for ollies and you don’t end up riding a wet towel (one of the other most common complaints about the performance of rockers). It might be hard to believe that a shape combing the best of camber and reverse camber, that alleviates the limitations of both, is already out there, but it’s harder to believe that it has been out there for over a decade! That doesn’t mean that we just ride it without looking for improvement, no sir! We now have seven different flavors of 3BT for you to choose from, each one specific to a style of riding and all better than the equivalent camber or rocker shape! Don’t believe us though, try it for yourself!

Conventional snowboards lose speed in transitions because the widest part of the nose digs aggressively into the transition when traveling from horizontal to vertical. In 3BT boards these parts are not even in contact with the snow and this offers a smoother and faster line from transition to vert. In the pipe, more speed up the wall means more air out of the coping and it is easier to go bigger! Because 3BT has lifted edges over the whole region outside of the bindings, the board will not dig in as much as the equivalent traditional camber board. The reduced pressure on the widest parts of the board results in fewer vibrations and allows the edges to remain in full contact with the snow. This makes slower turns less twitchy and faster turns easier to

TRIPLE BASE TECHNOLOGY THE SHAPE

1

Triple Base Technology divides the nose and tail in 3 sections: A left sidebase to turn left, a centerbase section to go straight and a right sidebase to turn right. The up turned sidebases make initiating turns easier and faster, with less effort. The total uplift distance starts at zero under the bindings, growing to maximum at the widest points of the board. This puts the control under your feet without losing control outside the bindings.

2

3

As you initiate a turn the contact edge grows from your bindings to give a full traditional edge grip over the entire effective edge when fully committed. The uplifted sidebases make your board forgiving when going straight (like a rocker) when you tilt the board to just a few degrees the full contact edge engages, without the torsional stress of a traditional camber board.

Because the board has no edge-to-edge concave between the bindings and a full tip-to-tail camber down the center of the board, you keep all the performance and control of a traditional camber board. At the same time, the angled sidebases give you the playfulness, forgiveness and powder float we have come to appreciate from rocker shapes. 3BT combines camber and rocker into one shape, and it actually works, but don’t believe us...

WHEN YOU STAND IN YOUR BINDINGS THE EDGES ARE LIFTED

With enough pressure to engage the whole edge (just 2-3 degrees), the contact edge has the same shape as a traditional camber board, but the pressure is equal along the whole edge and no torsional stresses are introduced.

With a tiny amount of pressure, the sidebases start to engage near the bindings, but the pressure remains constant along the contact edge.

When riding on a flat base, only the centerbase section is in the snow, so the board travels in a straight line.

TWIN 3BT is perfect for those who expect a perfect balance between performance on jumps and jibs. To achieve this, we combined a more noticeable tip-to-tail camber with a reasonably wide centerbase section (the centerbase is slightly wider than the sidebases). TWIN 3BT therefore retains a wide enough centerbase for presses and landings to stay effortless and solid, but now that is more equally balanced with the requirement for the sidebases to be wide enough and the flat base contact lengths long enough to result in a board that is stable on high speed run ins. This makes TWIN 3BT suitable for riding all kinds of parks and terrain.

New for 1415 is ASYMMETRIC 3BT. This is an asymmetric version of TWIN 3BT. In this shape, the heel edge sidebase begins closer to the tips of the board than the toe edge sidebase. This results in a wider centerbase section between the feet on the heel edge, making that edge more stable when straight lining and during the very early stages of turn initiation. ASYM 3BT gives you more looseness where you can handle it (toe side) and more stability where you want it (heelside). ASYM 3BT is still symmetrical with respect to the nose and tail, so you get exactly the same benefits switch as forwards.

PARK 3BT is great for all kinds of park riding – kickers and jibs. The centerbase section remains wide, and the camber close to being flat, to keep those presses legit, but the slightly wider sidebases make these boards more stable at high speeds – just what is needed for solid kicker riding. This combination of center and sidebase geometry makes PARK 3BT perfect for boards that need high speed stability without losing any jib capabilities. PARK 3BT is symmetrical on the nose and tail for a true twin that performs the same forwards and switch.

EVIL TWIN

JIB 3BT is perfect for jibbing and urban riding. JIB 3BT is completely symmetrical about the nose and tail to give a perfect true twin ride. It has the widest centerbase flat of all our 3BT flavors (and the narrowest sidebases). The extra centerbase width stabilizes your presses and butters. The sidebase 3BT uplift begins under your feet for a super loose and forgiving effect. JIB 3BT works with a very mellow, almost flat, camber to keep pressing easy but still give plenty of pop to your ollies.

TAPERED TAIL

This flavor of 3BT is designed especially for off piste charging and on piste carving. The narrowest center flat base width maximizes edge-to-edge agility and the widest 3BT sidebase wings, which also feature increased uplift angles on the nose, guarantees a superb float through even the deepest powder. Freeride 3BT features exclusively on boards with set back stances. The tail 3BT is set back by the same amount as the stance, to keep the control of the board between your feet and the 3BT sidebases are fully directional, with shorter sections on the tail to put more turning power over your back foot. The tail 3BT is also slightly tapered allowing you to power out of turns, lofting massive powder clouds.

POW 3BT is 3BT on steroids, with everything maxed out to get that feeling of surfing powder. The same narrow center flat base width as FREERIDE 3BT, but with insane uplift angles on the nose sidebases to give you effortless float no matter how deep it gets! The tail 3BT is again set back in line with the stance and features flatter uplift angles and a tapered width, which works with the camel toe shape to put the riders weight right over the back foot without them having to lean back and ensures that more powder is put up into the air on each turn. Unlike most powder specific shapes out there, POW 3BT still holds its own when you find yourself on a slope, where it carves like a dream and is very playful too!

ALL MOUNTAIN 3BT has a slightly narrower center flat base section than FREESTYLE 3BT and it’s camber profile is a bit more aggressive. Together with a longer flat section under the feet it delivers faster riding with superb response edge-to-edge and maximum stability at high speed. With a very slightly directional 3BT, the board is optimized to ride forwards, but is more than capable of performing switch when necessary. ALL MNTN 3BT does what it says on the tin: performs over the whole mountain. The extra uplift in the sidebases after the effective edge ends greatly improve the float in powder.

FREESTYLE 3BT is the most ‘all round’ 3BT shape in our range. The width of the two sidebases and the centerbase are equal. The equal section widths give a symmetrical edge-to-edge concave, which is combined with a, now more aggressive, traditional tip to tail camber profile on the centerbase section to perfectly balance park riding and general cruising. Boards with Freestyle 3BT boast a longer contact length between the feet. Freestyle 3BT is still symmetrical about the nose and tail to give the same performance when riding switch as forwards. A ‘good-for-everything’ shape, with fast and free edge-to-edge looseness and agility and overall stability

Horizontal Carbon Stringers improve your pop, reinforce the binding area while still allowing for smooth presses.

The G.W. was introduced recently, to instant acclaim and for good reason: It is the specced up brother of the AIROBIC. The Global Warmer comes with a hardwood enforced CORE CORE and its secret lies in the extra carbon stringers under the bindings. Not so awesome for the environment but very awesome for turbo pop and next level performance while retaining a soft flex. The G.W. is the missing link, allowing freestyle riders to have just one board instead of one for rails and another for jumps. Snowboarding turned up to 11!

The EVIL TWIN is everyones favorite twin. Now entering its tenth year in production we decided to give this one a special graphic build up of all the graphics of the past editions. The EVIL TWIN is as always shaped with TWIN 3BT which offers a wide enough centerbase flat section for stable jibbing, while featuring enough total sidebase upturn to carve seriously smooth, making it very playful from peak to park. The TWIN 3BT also helps with sketchy landings, tending to track the board back to straight more often because the widest points of the board dig into the snow less, even when the it lands 90 degrees short! The versatility of 3BT means that as well as park and backcountry kickers. The EVIL TWIN is also great for all mountain and powder riding and it remains the most allround twin in our range. Here is to another 10 years!

Your heels are not shapeD like your toes! While your toes are very good at keeping you balanced in all sorts of crazy angles your heels are not. We now introduce ASYM 3BT a new Asymmetrical 3BT Shape BASED ON THIS FACT. More 3BT on your toeside than on your heelside. Giving you more control where you need it and even more playfulness where you can handle it!

We have cerated an asymmetrical 3BT board because your toes are not the same as your heels. Just think about it: your toes are further from your ankles, which makes it easier to apply exactly the pressure that you want. Your heels are much closer to your ankles and therefore make a less efficient pivot point, meaning that exact pressure application and error correction are both more difficult. This is why many riders naturally favor traverses and cruising on the toes. With ASYM 3BT the uplift on your heel side starts further outside your bindings than on your toeside. This gives most looseness where you can easily handle it (on your toes) and more control and better turn initiation where you need it (on your heels) The result is that when riding on a flat base, there is a longer effective edge engaged on the toe side and more pressure can be applied before the board starts to carve. This is great for straighter jump take offs. On the heel edge, the faster onset of the sidebases mean that less pressure is needed to engage the edge making it super easy to regain control from a flat base The asymmetric EVIL TWIN is still a twin because the nose still mirrors the tail exactly so it doesn’t matter if you ride it goofy or regular.

Crossed Carbon Stringers under your bindings improve your pop, reinforce the binding area while still allowing for smooth presses.

We introduced the BOSS last season as the GTI version of the EVIL TWIN: Same shape philosophy but with some extra carbon trickery for extra pop, control and stability while keeping that ET mid flex we all love. This is achieved by placing crossed carbon stringers under the binding area. These torsionally reinforce the board without making it stiffer longitudinally. It makes this board more stable at high speeds and on landings and add explosiveness to your pop! The BOSS is based on TWIN 3BT which has a wide central flat base for jibs and solid landings. It makes the BOSS perfect for attacking jumps in the park or backcountry and for allover high-speed blasting and Mach speed landings. Ride like a BOSS.

31 FREESTYLE

Our freestyle boards are the most versatile shapes in the range. They all possess twin snow contact shapes and directional outlines. This is achieved by adding the extra length to the tip of the nose while leaving everything that touches the snow twin. When combined with FREESTYLE and ALL MOUNTAIN 3BTs, this allows these boards to deal with the widest range of snow conditions, from bullet proof corduroy, through slush and chopped up powder, to deep virgin snow without sacrificing any freestyle or switch performance.

The first part of the name says it all... Loved by riders from beginners to our pros because of its directional twin shape, soft flex POP CORE, torsionally softer Bi-Ax laminates and FREESTYLE 3BT. A super versatile shape combining a medium wide centerbase flat section, making it fun on jibs and jumps, with medium width sidebases with a larger total uplift than any of the true twins for agile turning, more forgiveness and better powder float. The FUN.KINK is very stable for a soft board. Great for beginners and intermediates to progress as well as good riders who are looking for a board that is fun over the whole hill.

This board is good for WHATEVER you want to do with it. The soft-mid flex CORE CORE is poplar wood with hard wood inserts running along the board through the insert rows. As well as reinforcing those important regions, the hard wood makes the core more poppy and responsive and stable at speed. Bi-Ax laminates keep the WHATEVER torsionally forgiving. FREESTYLE 3BT is the most versatile of our base shapes. The center flat section remains wide enough for solid landings but here the sidebases are wider and the total uplift larger than for the twin boards. This makes turn initiation smoother, straight lining easier, gives fewer edge catches and also floats better through powder and tracked out snow. This is especially true when you add the twin contact shape and the directional outline. The twin contact shape and centered stance guarantees a switch performance that is equal to forwards, but the small extra length added to the nose is invaluable in any type of powder snow by floating through freshies and crashing through crud better. What’s it good for? WHATEVER!

Carbon/ Kevlar strips run between the bindings, near the sidewalls. These torsionally reinforce the board, keeping it stable at high speed, without loosing forgiveness and playfulness.

One of our most enduringly popular boards because of its huge versatility, the GOLIATH+ remains a favorite. For its 11th birthday we decided to give it an carbon enhanced upgrade. This upgrade results in an even more surprising amount of performance for a mid flex board. The CORE CORE combines poplar with hardwood reinforcements along the full length of the boards and through the insert rows to produce a responsive and poppy, yet playful and forgiving board. Tri-Ax laminates add a little torsional stiffness to help with high speed charging of any kind. FREESTYLE 3BT and twin contact shape with a directional outline only adds to the versatility of the GOLIATH+ Take out the GOLIATH+ for some park laps, jibs and switch riding and then go carve up the hill with speed and ride some powder in the same day. Extra Carbon/ Kevlar stringers from tip to tail enhance pop and increases the delivery of energy to your ride.

EXTRA LAYUP

THE JAM is a powerful board for aggressive riding. The mid-stiff flex REACTOR CORE is poplar wood with hardwood strips along the full length of the sidewalls. This ensures maximum power delivery over the whole edge, enhancing stability at high speeds and on icy surfaces. We also gave THE JAM carbon and Kevlar strips running the length of the board. These act like shock absorbers when landing as well as being poppy as hell! ALL MOUNTAIN 3BT makes THE JAM slightly directional where we combined a twin contact edge with a slightly longer nose for some extra float in pow. The narrower centerbase flat section guarantees lightning edgeto-edge agility and further helps powder float. A sintered base makes it easy to get to the top speeds that THE JAM was designed for and the larger side cut radius makes for wide, open turns both on groomers and in the backcountry. If you are a committed all day shredder who loves gunning it from the first to the last chair then THE JAM is the board for you!

Acclaimed, award winning Allmountain freeride cruiser. The Omni is an awesome board! The OMNI has a mid-flex REACTOR CORE made from poplar wood with hardwood strips along the full edges. The hardwood spreads the pressure from the rider’s toes or heels over the whole edge, making the OMNI super stable for a mid-flex board and helping with grip on ice. Tri-Ax laminates add extra torsional stiffness, which is very helpful at high speeds and for crashing through tracked out powder. The stance is set back 2 cm and we added extra backseat inserts so you can slam your stance all the way back on those extra deep days. FREERIDE 3BT features a narrow centerbase flat that is also set back in line with the stance. As well as providing ultimate edgeto-edge agility, this automatically and effortlessly puts more turning power over your back foot. The sidebase nose sections are longer and achieve a higher upturn at the widest points. This benefits both the nose and the tail: The sidebases give the nose more of a spoon shape by forming super floating powder wings, meaning you don’t need to lean back as much and float easier. On the tail, a lower total uplift works with a slightly tapered centerbase flat section to automatically give you power out of your turns, putting up big rooster tails. We gave the OMNI a sintered base for speed. If you like shredding the whole mountain at both high and low speeds, but you are a fiend for the powder, you need to make it an OMNI!

The CAMEL TOE was launched last year as a dedicated yet affordable second board for riding powder. The Camel Toe features POW 3BT which is 3BT taken to the max for crazy powder surfing! The broadest and highest 3BT wings plus insane sidebase angles on the nose section makes it practically impossible to submarine! The short tail, with gentler 3BT angles and the set back stance puts weight automatically over your back foot, making float easier and giving your turns a ‘gas pedal effect’ for maximum powder clouds. Because it floats so good you can ride a CAMEL TOE 8–10 cms shorter than your normal powder board! Not every day is a powder day but no worries thanks to the 3BT geometry the CAMEL TOE performs amazingly well on groomed runs. Now you can stay satisfied no matter what the weather does.

46 CAMEL TOE STEWART

Bill Stewart needs no introduction to surfers, but most snowboarders have probably never heard of him, even though they should have. The legendary surfboard shaper is best known for pushing the envelope in modern longboard design. Stewart invented the 2+1 fin setup on a longboard, the Hydro Hull beveled rail, and co-invented the Future Fins System box. On top of that he’s seen as one of the best airbrush artists in surfing and one of the originators of the art. What almost nobody knows is that back in 1981 Bill made an amazing snowboard. Combining technologies from surfboard shaping, ski manufacturing and waterski design he hand shaped a mind-blowing snowboard. The board featured sidecut, steel edges,

a 360-degree swivel binding, and an advanced 3D base with upturned edges and channels. The construction itself was very experimental and like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Bill somehow married a wooden top to a foam core and a polyester resin laminated base to create a snowboard that was truly ahead of its time. Unfortunately, the local ski resort liftees didn’t have the same vision as Stewart, and wouldn’t allow him to test out his creation. So, after a couple of runs scraping down a hill, the snowboard was retired and Bill moved on to other inventions. It’s amazing that this board has never been ‘discovered’ or given the credit it deserves. We are very proud to be allowed to resurrect this awesome piece of snowboard history together with Bill Stewart.…

The FEELBETTER is super forgiving, super playful and super fun! With a very soft longitudinal flex full and a super forgiving torsional flex this board will always do what you want it to do. The FREESTYLE 3BT retains a medium wide centerbase flat section with wide enough sidebases and high enough total upturn to keep the feel loose and forgiving with smooth and agile turns, relaxed flat base straight lining, and nice float in powder. The FREESTYLE 3BT on the FEELBETTER works great with the twin contact shape and directional outline: The nose is made slightly longer in the region that doesn’t touch the snow during normal riding to improve performance in powder without losing any freestyle and park credentials. A board that is great for any girls looking improve or who just want to have fun over the whole mountain. Why feel good when you can FEELBETTER!

The DISTORTIA is our most park dedicated womens board. The only things girly about it are the narrower outline and woman specific 3BT profile which is proportional to the slimmed down outline. A true twin in contact and outline shapes, with centered stance, the DISTORTIA is identical forwards and switch. It has a fun flex that perfectly balances rail and kicker performance. The womens PARK 3BT further compliments this balance with a wide centerbase flat section for solid presses and stable board slides, together with enough sidebase uplift to work brilliantly straight lining and kicker riding. The DISTORTIA is an all round park destroyer for girls who shred. You know when we make a board it has to perform and have high performance and crazy pop, regardless of any gender issues.

In THIS line there is a board for every type of rider. However choosing what is right for you is not always an easy task. There is so many factors to take into consideration. In this catalog we do our best to make your choice easier. If you are still confused to hesitate to ask Mr. B, for some help. Or go to our website where you will find even more info reviews and answers to most of your questions. Don’t take all the divisions on this page too strict 3BT makes all our boards super versatile. So our jib boards will still outcarve other non 3BT jib boards and our park boards will float powder better then flat park boards while our powderboards will take apart slopes without worries...

TECHNICAL DETAILS INGREDIENTS

CORES

LAYUPS

Full poplar wood core. Flexible, with good elastic properties for presses and pop. It may be bendy but the full poplar beat all of our breakage tests.

Bi-ax laminates over and under the wood core include fibreglass layers aligned in two directions at 45 degrees to the edges. This creates an easy and forgiving flex, which allows you to really feel the terrain.

Poplar core with hardwood reinforcements along the insert rows. This increases the board’s core strength and channels stored energy to deliver more pop.

Tri-ax laminates over and under the wood core include fibreglass layers aligned in three directions (two at 45 degrees to the edges and the extra one along the boards length). This generally increases the stiffness and stability of the board to deliver maximum precision in your riding.

Poplar core with hardwood reinforcements along the sidewalls. The hardwood along the edges equalizes the force of the turn along the full contact edge, making it less twitchy on harder snow and reinforcing the boards stiffness.

BASES

EXTRA LAYUPS

Everyone knows carbon is the hot shit right now. Super strong, super light and super dope. Carbon stringers under the wood cores in our boards save weight and work to add strength, reinforce targeted sections and focus pop depending on their alignment to the fibreglass.

INSERTS

The 4x4/16 insert pack allows for a wide range of stances and is great for rocking them extra wide.

The 4x2/20 pattern allows you to attach your bindings with scientific precision.

The 4x2/22 pattern offers maximum precision in your binding position with 22 inserts for a large total stance width range.

The 4x2/24 pack is the ultimate in flexibility. Maximum precision, maximum width options, maximum PARTY!

Easy to repair and takes a beating! Low maintenance and still slides well with irregular waxing, not that we are condoning anything other than a militant waxing regime. Extra Kevlar stringers in nose and tail enhance pop with volcanic explosiveness while keeping it torsion friendly between your feet.

Fast as fuck! Great wax absorption and as hard as nails. These bases come with factory wax already infused. Top up regularly to get the most out of it.

Backseat inserts let you drop your stance all the way back to let you keep shredding your trusty stick on the deepest of deep days.

POWDER

3BT snowboards are way more versatile than rocker, traditional camber and flat boards. This makes categorizing them far more difficult. Even when we place a board in a certain category, it is not limited to just that style of riding, that’s just where it excels. The board will still handle well in other categories and that’s why we give you ‘Terrain Scores’; so that you can see the range of conditions in which the board will perform. Below is an example for a board that is sick for all round freestyle, with very good park abilities, good for powder riding and is satisfactory on jibs.

OUTLINE SHAPE vs CONTACT SHAPE

EDGE BEVEL

This is the shape of the outline of the board with reference to the inserts. This can be either twin for boards with identical nose and tails or directional. Directional boards always have a longer nose than tail, but some of our boards also have directional 3BT.

All our boards leave the factory with a 2-3 degree edge bevel. Together with the 3BT shape this means you get an ultra smooth ride straight out of the plastic. No more de-tuning your beautiful new board! As well as being a pain to do, detuning reduces carving performance so skipping it gives you a better ride.

Contact shape refers to the shape in contact with the ground when a rider stands on the board. Some of our boards have twin contact shapes but directional outlines. This is possible because the nose is made longer only in the region at the tip that is never in contact with the snow. These boards feel just like a twin board to ride, but they handle uneven snow much better.

2 YEAR WARRANTY We provide a 2year limited warranty against manufacturing defects from the original date of purchase so long as that was from an authorized Bataleon dealer. Check www.bataleon. com/warranty for more information on our policy.

MAINTENANCE 3BT boards can be maintained using Stone and Belt grinding. Bataleon boards can go through the machine as normal, but two out of the three feeding wheels need to be removed to allow the 3BT base to pass through unhindered. Experienced tune up shops already know about this, but when you hand in your board for a tune up make sure your shop knows what they are doing. If necessary, point them in the direction of the maintenance instruction videos, which can be found on our website.

Our flex-o-meter uses a scale from 0 to 10, where 0 is softer than the class geek and 10 is effectively a barn door. In the flex rating you will find three numbers. One for the nose flex, one for the flex between the bindings and the last for the tail flex. For example, 5-6-5 rating denotes a board with medium flex that is slightly stiffer between the bindings. This type of flex allows boards to simultaneously press well and be stable at speed. Happy days. A soft board will feel more playful under your feet and is generally better for riding rails and doing butters whereas a stiffer board will be more stable on landings and at high speeds. However, the lifted base sections on a 3BT board make any board feel more poppy than a traditional stiffness….Try it out for yourself!
