2014 Silent Auction & Attendance Prizes The Friends of Lovejoy Library sought out a number of prominent authors to sign unique bookplates representing the SIUE Elijah P. Lovejoy Memorial Library. The response was overwhelming and more than 70 prominent authors signed these bookplates or sent a flat-signed novel in it’s place. Many of the authors provided special inscriptions and even artwork on these bookplates. All of the bookplates have been placed in a first edition, first printing copy of the authors most recognizable work. This catalog details the list of books that are available to be won in the silent auction or given away as attendance prizes. There are also signed magazines that will be given away as attendance prizes. The Friends sponsor the purchase of contemporary magazines that the students often read in the Friends Corner of the Library. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of books and materials to support Lovejoy Library.
