EDYTORIAL Szanowni Państwo, świętując jubileusz 85-lecia, specjalnie dla wszystkich miłośników lotnictwa i LOT-u przygotowaliśmy wystawę zrekonstruowanych zdjęć z naszego archiwum, która odwiedzi wiele miejsc, do których latają nasze samoloty. Zapraszamy tym samym w podróż w czasie i przestrzeni. Ułatwi nam to również jubileuszowy retro jet – Embraer 175 w specjalnym malowaniu nawiązującym do barw naszych samolotów z połowy lat 40. XX w. Kto wie? Może zasiądą Państwo w nim obok Rolling Stonesów lub Abby! Takie gwiazdy podróżowały i nadal podróżują na pokładach naszych maszyn. Ostatnio podczas wizyty w Nowym Jorku przypomniał mi się Napoleon Hill, pisarz, który mawiał: „Wygrywa tylko ten, kto ma jasno określony cel i nieodparte pragnienie, aby go osiąg nąć”. To jest przesłanie, które właśnie realizuję wraz z całą załogą, by LOT się rozwijał, a Państwa podróż naszymi samolotami była nie tylko wygodna i bezstresowa, ale przede wszystkim inspirująca. Jasno obrany cel motywuje najlepiej. Widać to też w dobrych wynikach finansowych, jakie osiągnął LOT w ostatnim roku. Ogromny wpływ na to miał „efekt Dreamlinera”, którego oferta klasy Premium i Elite Club stała się bezkonkurencyjna na połączeniach z Polski. Wkrótce do naszej floty dołączy szósty Dreamliner. Oprócz połączeń regularnych już teraz, z myślą o kolejnych zimowych sezonach, zawarliśmy porozumienia na przeloty czarterowe. Komfort i skrócony czas podróży na wakacje pozwoli cieszyć się m.in. odkrywaniem Wietnamu i Republiki Południowej Afryki. Jesteśmy dumni z historii, ale skupiamy się na tym, co przed nami. Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, This year we are celebrating our 85th anniversary and with all aviation and LOT afficionados in mind we designed an exhibition of restored archival images which will be displayed in many of the destinations operated by LOT. We would like to take you on a journey back in time and space. This will be made easier thanks to our anniversary Retro Jet i.e. an Embraer 175 in special livery inspired by the looks of our aircraft from the mid-1940s. Who knows? Perhaps you will land a seat next to the Rolling Stones or ABBA who travelled on board LOT. Stars and celebrities of such renown have flown and still fly LOT Polish Airlines. US writer Napoleon Hill once said: “There is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.” This is the message that the entire team and myself abide by so that LOT Polish Airlines can grow and so that flying with us is comfortable and stress-free and, above all, inspiring. A definite purpose is the best motivator. This is reflected also in the good financial results marked by LOT in the past year. One of the factors that impacted our performance was the ‘Dreamliner effect’ with its Premium and Elite Club offers which left the competition far behind as regards flights from Poland. We will soon welcome the sixth Dreamliner into our fleet. To offer you more than just the regular flights next winter season, we have already entered into agreements for charter flights. Comfort and shorter flight time will make your dream getaways to Vietnam or the Republic of South Africa even more pleasurable. We are proud of our history but we are focusing on the future.
