Robiąc zakupy w strefie wolnocłowej, pasażer zobowiązany jest okazać kartę pokładową, na podstawie której określana jest cena produktu. Na półkach widoczne są dwie ceny – wyższa, dla osób podróżujących wewnątrz UE (cena zwolniona jedynie z cła), oraz niższa, obowiązująca na połączeniach poza wspólnotą (wolna od cła, podatku VAT i akcyzy).
