GIVING GUIDE

JOIN THE HERD!

JOIN THE HERD WITH YOUR SUPPORT!

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens.

Home to more than 270 different species, of which more than 58 are endangered, the Zoo is a place that reveres science, teaches the importance of conservation, and provides our visitors with meaningful, often life-changing experiences through face-toface connections with nature.

Your support will help save animals from extinction. The L.A. Zoo actively participates in the preservation of some of the world’s most critically endangered species and their habitats by dedicating funds, expertise, and experienced staff to a wide variety of conservation projects all over the globe. Our Learning and Engagement programs create

meaningful connections to nature — the kind that nurture future conservationists and build empathy for all living things.

Your participation will go a long way in enhancing the Zoo today and for future generations. Together we can create a brighter future for our community, wildlife, and planet. On behalf of the approximately 1,400 animals who call the Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens their home, thank you for supporting the Zoo!

THE LOS ANGELES ZOO’S VISION PLAN 2028 AND BEYOND

The new Vision Plan is a road map to the future, leading to the complete development of all 133 acres of Zoo property. The Vision Plan will lead to the creation of innovative zoological habitats that immerse and enthrall guests, connect our community to nature, and create the next generation of conservation leaders. It touches every aspect of the Zoo, from ticket counter to food counter, from animal enrichment to staff development, and from visitor participation to community involvement. The Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens, at this Plan’s completion, will be a model setting the standard for all zoos to follow, connecting people and animals for a richer tomorrow.

The Vision Plan seeks to provide a template for the Zoo that demonstrates the highest level of care and welfare for its animals, and is welcoming, accessible, engaging, inspiring, and fun for all visitors. GLAZA seeks to raise $200 million through a transformative campaign to complete the first three phases of the Vision Plan. Naming opportunities will be available.

High school students may also volunteer at the Zoo by helping with special events, education activities, the Zoo Patch Program for scouts, Teen Talks, Muriel’s Ranch, and more.

PRIVATE EVENTS

Hosting a private event at the L.A. Zoo is about more than ensuring your guests a uniquely entertaining time; it’s also about demonstrating your own commitment to sustainability. The L.A. Zoo offers many beautiful spaces in natural settings for any size event from 20 to 2,000 people. The outdoor venues are ideal locations for company picnics, corporate events, wedding receptions, birthdays and more.

Our private events team can help make your planning a pleasure by handling your tickets requests, rental orders, catering, and coordinating all set-up and clean-up of your private event space. To make your event even more unique, add an up-close encounter with wildlife with an animal walkabout that features an animal of your choice and their keeper who can answer all your Zoo questions. Private event proceeds support the Zoo’s vital conservation efforts here at home and around the globe.
