Education At LeMoyne College

Dr. Lorrie Clemo began her education at LeMoyne College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. A short time later she graduated from Binghamton University with a Master’s of Arts and PhD degrees in Political Science, Public Administration, and Policy Analysis.


Various Honors Societies Dr. Clemo was a participating member in various honors societies, including the Alpha Sigma Nu, Pi Alpha Alpha, Pi Gamma Kappa, and Pi Sigma Alpha, which all prioritized both academic performance and volunteer efforts to support community building.


Vice President For Academic Affairs

Her career started as a faculty member at the SUNY Oswego, where she progressed through the tenure process to become a full professor in the Department of Political Science. Dr. Clemo held various administrative roles including Faculty Fellow to the President, Assistant to the President for Special Programs and Campus Communications, Chief of Staff, and Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Since 2017, Dr. Clemo has served as the President of D’Youville College.


David Knight Leadership Award Along the way, Dr. Clemo earned various awards and accolades, including the David Knight Leadership Award, the participation in an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellowship, Clemo was listed among the top 10 most visionary education leaders of 2020 by the Education Magazine, and was ranked #29 by the Buffalo Business First Power 200 Women in 2021.
